The list isn't really that great, but it does include Guitar Hero III, which is on sale at BB for $9.99 (if you can find it). It also includes the obligatory Wii Fit w/ Balance Board, that no one in their right mind would trade in for the equivalent of $20.

If you find a good flip on the list, post it in this thread, please.

They've already disqualified 23 of the games, and removed another. I crossed them off the list. Also, some of the games on the list may not exist.

Offer expires 5/10/09 5/31/09 6/7/09 (the offer page still shows 5/10/09, but the trade-in specials page shows the new date of 5/31/09, which makes more sense), game comes out 5/19/09.
Buy those games with edge and b2g1 and then trade them in to get the ea active game then return the sealed ea active you just got with your old recipt to get you money back.
I guess you missed the part where I said I had already opened EASA up.

He means use the older receipt to return the one you get with the trade 3 promo.

Got it. My apologies. Still, I think I'll pass on doing that.
I guess I'm not the only one that has thought of doing that. My Edge card expires this month, in just a couple of days, so I had thoughts of going on a big flipping spree, then cashing out with flips to Game Crazy or somewhere else.

I figure I can flip my beginning balance of $90 credit into $300-400 pretty quickly this weekend with the B2G1. Anyone know of good to even flips for Game Crazy or even Blockbuster?
First of all, you do NOT need edge card for the EA Sports Active promo!
As long as the three games qualify, you won't need the 10% bump from your edge card. So they won't be able to track you with the card.
If your dumb enough to shit where you sleep,(buy 3 wii games and trade them in at the same store/same day for EA Sports Active) then that's just stupid.
I plan on flipping at a couple stores tonight to take advantage for the movie promo for the 30% extra plus movie cash. Then return on Sunday with gift receipt for credit to get the wii games to flip for a Wii EA Sports Active). I'll do all of it across 5 different gamestops.

There's enough Gamestops around to 'eat' at one, and 'shit' at another.
Is anyone else having flashbacks to buying/returning skate city heroes about 5 times a few months ago.
thought about it as well. since they didn't bann anyone for doing that, i doubt they'll do anything this time. thing is, it might be a little more leg work this time around. buy 3 games from gamestop1 using the b2g1 promo and trade those for an ea at gamestop2. then you would have to return at another gamestop. all this to make about $26 credit and that is only if they don't charge us tax when getting ea.

i might do it once, just to get the cost of infamous down a bit. i need to go to 2 gamestops to do some trades anyway.
To bad they wont take 3 copies of endless ocean, $7.48 at Target
I got them to take 2 of those yesterday. They had to call for approval then asked why I had 2 copies. I told them one was mine and I had gotten one as a gift for a friend but found out about the deal. The 3rd one was a Big Brain Academy found at the swap meet for $5.00 so the total was $25.55 with tax. not a bad flip.

I agree, and I was planning on doing the flipping across 10 or so GS's around town. I didn't really think about not having to use my Edge Card for the trades, because usually you want to use the Edge Card to get get the added bonus 10%, but there would not be one in this case. Thanks for pulling me out of the fog! Now I just have to convince my wife that I can afford to spend this time to keep the gaming habit alive for another year. Unlike last year when I put up $200 to start the flipping, there is no out-of-pocket cost.
For anyone thinking of using the B2G1 deal to acquire games for the EA Active deal, the following are all $19.99 used at Gamestop.

Tenchu
Bully
Baja 1000
Pitfall

So basically three eligible games would cost you $40 (before Edge discount and tax). The trick might be to find a store with three of those games in stock. My closest store actually has all four so I'm in good shape.

Alternatively, all but Bully are in stock online, but you'd have to be confident that the free shipping (via the SAVER code) would get the games to you by the 7th. I suppose for a few bucks more you could upgrade the shipping, which might bump the total to $42 or $43. That still might be worth it considering you'll be trading those games for brand new $60 game.

Good luck!
Thanks Op! My store had all 4 also.
Bought 3, and out the door for $36 in credit for EA!

I changed my mind. Two stores near my house have all four $19.99 Wii games. I'll pick up 3 of those games to trade in for EASA and return the other one I bought at full price. That will save me over $26.
How does the gift receipt thing work? Any chance they won't take it since it's done through the special offer?
Gift receipts don't specify how you got the game. That's the loophole.

UPDATE:

I'm back from my journey to 5 gamestops. First, at one of them, I actually got about a buck back when doing the trade in. I think they gave me an edge bonus and no tax was charged. Second, I used the original receipt with no issues whatsoever. It does indicate there was a promo, however, that had no impact on the return.

Bought three of the $19.99 games with the B2G1 and took them to another GS. Didn't plan on showing the Edge card, but they knew that it would give something extra to cover some of the tax.

Where did you guys learn that certain titles are now disqualified? The link on the website still shows Bleach as being eligible but someone said it (as well as some other games) is no longer eligilble.

There's fine print at the bottom of the game list. BTW, I was able to pick up Pitfall, Tenchu and Bully to trade in towards EASA. These games seem to be really easy to find in my area, but I'm only going to use this deal once to get back some of the money that I paid for the EASA earlier in the week (full price).

Here's how to make money at GS/EB on this deal.

Buy 2 get 1 free games & trade-in for free EA SPORT. Return the game to different GS/EB store for store credit for $60 plus taxes in credit. Picked up extra 3 games & trade-in different at GS/EB store with gift receipt. You spend $42 and do the same trick over & over 3-6 GS/EB with gift receipt. I sure you earned over hundreds dollars in credit in no time. If you have a friend you can double or triple up the deal and max your credits :)

A week or two ago, Bully was still $26.99, and hard to find, now it is $19.99 and everywhere. I think they all got shipments of games from the warehouse when it dropped to $19.99 used. As strange as it sounds, I think they may have been trying to limit the supply to justify the $26.99 used price (since, the new MSRP was $19.99, if you could find the game new anywhere).

And when Gamestop catches on to you, adios muchacho.

Forgot to post it, but i traded in NCAA 2009, Guitar Hero 3, and Godzilla and somehow the trade in value ended up being 2.65 over the cost of the game anyway.

Found more trade material for this deal. Not the best ratio, but if you need a 3rd game why not. These are all games I saw in store yesterday, was too lazy to look up the pricing of the whole list online.

$19.99 ($35.98, $11.99 each with B2G1 and Edge, pre tax)
Baja 1000: Score International
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Pitfall: Big Adventure
Tenchu: Shadow Assassins

$26.99 ($48.58, $16.19 each with B2G1 and Edge, pre tax)
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree
Big League Sports
Bolt
Boom Blox
de Blob
Deca Sports
Endless Ocean
Game Party II
My Sims
My Sims Party
Quantum of Solace
Rapala Tournament Fishing!
Rayman Raving Rabbids 2
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles
Sim City Creator
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
We Ski

Sucks that I still had to pay tax on EASA, thankfully Edge covered most of it.

How do mis-priced games work at Gamestop? My local one had some of the $19.99 ones labeled for $24.99 and $29.99.

went ahead and did this once yesterday. went to a different gs and exchanged it for infamous. ended up getting infamous for about $42 after taxes. same price i would've paid if i bought it used with a 20% coupon + edge. not a bad deal, but i had no desire to drive around all day doing it over and over to make 20 something dollars each time.

I finally took advantage of the deal myself, thanks to the B2G1, and D. Monic's list of used $19.99 games that qualify. Got Tenchu and Pitfall (along with Orange box) in the b2g1, and added my own copy of Metroid, since I can wait for the compilation disc to finish it. I played both Tenchu and Pitfall long enough to confirm that I had no desire to keep either (Tenchu wasn't really that bad, though, and Pitfall actually had some decent ideas, but annoying camera and poor execution), and traded them in the next day (yesterday). Thanks OP - oh, wait, that's me. Thanks D. Monic (and whymustiregister for the expanded list).
Updated OP to reflect the new end date of 6/7/09.
Wish Gamestop managers were as informed. They tried to deny me saying their planner said the promo had ended. I told him CAG posted it was still going until the 7th. Ok, i told him Gamestop.com
I asked them to try it anyway and as I expected, but to their surprise, it worked.
Thanks CAG. Now lets hope the wife uses this more than the wii fit or gym membership :whistle2:(

got my EA sports today. Traded in pitfall, tenchu and baja 1000 from the GS sale. Still had to pay 3.xx tax, but no complaints here :D

Also i think they're still taking the wii game Think Fast which is $17.99, if you missed the GS B2G1 sale.

If there is anyone planning to do this before Sunday, please take note as I found out the hard way after opening a brand new Castlevania Judgement in the car before going into GS only to find out it was no longer on the list online. I did a comparison with a flyer and the list on the first page. Previous ommisions are not duplicated here.

Here are the updates:

Castlevania Judgment
CID the Dummy
+Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
Excite Truck
Final Fantasy Chocobo's Dungeon
High School Musical 3 Senior Year
Kung Fu Panda Legendary Warrior
Lost in Blue Shipwrecked
Madagascar Escape 2 Africa
Nerf N-Strike (game only)
+Night at the Museum Battle of the...
Petz Rescue Wildlife Vet
Rygar: The Battle of Argus
Think Fast
Worms a Space Oddity

The district manager was in the store with his laptop and looked up the list online. To my (real) surprise, Castlevania Judgment was not listed at all. After swearing up and down that it was there and I could get the flyer from the car, he said we don't think you're lying and told the manager just to adjust the price for me. Feel a bit better about GS managers today.
