Per this link here, Fred Meyer is having a "Doorbuster" deal on video games. From 7am to 1pm Saturday (8/18/2012) only.

Its a two-parter:

* Its $10 off of any Electronics purchase of $50 or more, $20 off of any Electronics purchase of $100 or more, or $30 off of any Electronics purchase of $150 or more. (some restrictions apply.)

* $5 off of any video game purchase of $29.99 or more.

So doing the math that takes $15 off of any $60 game, meaning something new like Sleeping Dogs or Darksiders II is a little easier to stomach buying during release week.

The link to click on is the "Back To School Doorbuster Sale" ad.

The $10 off $50/$20 off $100/$30 off $150 coupon is on the sixth page.

And the coupon specifically says 7am to 1pm Saturday only.

FYI - I believe this ad is good for all Fred Meyer stores, but you can enter in your zip code to see if there are any differences, etc. (What you are clicking on in my first post's link is the ad for zip code of 99336 - but I believe the ad applies to other stores as well.)

When I used to work there, we got an additional 10% of electronics, which made it a really good deal. (Plus, it worked on 360 point cards). If there was anything I wanted at the moment, I wouldn't pass this up.

Anyone know if Fred Meyer stocks The Last story? Seems like that would be the best deal. Could technically be about 35 bucks. Or 15 off a $50 points card.
Where is it showing the $5 off video games?

Bizzquik, where are you seeing the $5 off video games? I can only find the thing with the $10 off $50 deal.
It's right in the link on the circular that's up for the doorbusters that's in flash. It should be the second to the last coupon on the first page. If you hover over it or click on it you should get a larger view.

Yeah, I saw this in the paper today but just can't think of anything to spend it on. $45 is still way more than I'd want to pay for 99% of new games ;). But I might check out the selection this evening to see if I want to grab anything tomorrow. There's also a TI graphing calculator that my daughter needs for school that is on sale for $99.99 (from $120). If I can bump that over $100 with something small I can save $20 with the coupon.
This should directly link to the $5 off coupon.

Thanks for answering the question for him, Motoki - I was away at work. Sorry I couldn't do it myself.

As a general rule, most Fred Meyer stores have plenty of the most-recent ads available in store. So you should just be able to walk in the store, pick up an ad 20 feet in front of you, and get 'er done.

I think I'm gunna dive on sleeping dogs. $45 is a good price for a new release, I reckon. I'd play it right away, too, so that makes it more worth it.
