At work today we started putting up signs for our Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal. This will officially start tomorrow, April 22nd. I don't have any solid evidence, such as an ad or anything, but I was there when we received the call about the promotion. Figured I'd give the heads up so people can take advantage of this while they still have good items in stock. I'm not sure if this is YMMV or nation-wide, but I am located at store 1626 in Ventura, CA. Hope this information helps you guys out. If this has already been posted, I do apologize.

*edit*
I forgot to mention that this is only on used games. Hope this didn't cause any confusion.

This deal is official dead. No reasons given, but corporate stopped the sale. It was initially planned to go until Saturday.

Midnght Club 3 Dub Edition, Psi-Ops, and Riddick. I was very happy, I'm glad I went to the used section and took a look. If only I say a Psychonauts used... If I had a PS2, I really could have made off like a bandit.

I got Hitman: Contracts, Phantom Brave and LOTR: Return of the King for $35. My nephew wanted LOTR so he gave me $20 and I got the other 2 for me so my out of pocket was $15 for 2 games.

Cubivore, Space Channel 5 and parappa 2. The cashier's like "you like all the weird games, don't you?"
Until when does this last? (like what date?)

I want to get UC 2 used, TS:FP used and doom 3 free.
The sale lasts until April 30.

I just got Disgaea, Resident Evil 3 Gamecube, and Zelda Collectors Edition Gamecube. I need to go back again before its over. This is the way to buy games with the Buy 2 get 3rd free plus 10% off with Gamestop card. Games come out to about half price or less compared to new even when you buy the newer releases.

Thanks for the heads up. Can you return a used game if you don't like it, and will they ask you to return the free game as well? I got Red Dead Revolver on a whim because I needed a free one, and it's no fun.

Yes, you may return any used game you buy within 7 days of purchase for any reason. You don't like it return it but the best way to go about is to exchange it with a game that is of equal value to the game that you got so it won't cause too much confusion. If you don't do it that way you basically will have to pay the difference in the price between the purchased game and the game being exchange for if higher price. If lower price they will just give you back the difference.
They're not the same company yet. It was just announced a week ago. Mergers don't happen that fast.
it has to be approved by the government.

I'm gonna exchange it for a preowned game of the same price. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

It was my lucky day on Saturday I got PSone RPG goodness.

Star Ocean the Second Story $17.99
Threads of Fate $14.99
Dragon Warrior VII $12.99 (free)

I was very surprised to see these games available and were complete and in mint condition

Nice finds!! I thought I did great when I got Arc The Lad ($29.99), Lunar:Silver Star Story Complete ($29.99) and Castlevania Chronicles($29.99) - all complete and either very good to mint. With the B2G1 free and my value card I paid $54 + tax. I'd say your deal was even better.

^^It's not online, so don't whine about it.

Anyway, my hall for today was:

All in complete condition:

Soul Calibur II (Xbox) $15
Persona (nearly mint condition) $10
Devil May Cry $9 - Free

With my discount card, I paid a tad less than $24. Soul Calibur II and Devil May Cry may have not been the greatest finds, but the selection at that gamestop was rather dull, and I've always meant to buy those two titles. Persona being in their in nearly mint condition was just delicious icing on this... fruit cake?

Indomitable, that is blasphemy! You're deal is far better than any other posted here thus far. Each of those games typically goes for over $40 when complete and mint. The other haul was really nice, but I wouldn't compare the two deals.

Odd, the website says they're doing the B2G1 free deal:

Offer 3: Buy 2 Preowned Games $29.99 Or More, Get 1 $29.99 Or Less Free!

Or perhaps I misunderstood what you're talking about.

Warning to those out on the west coast with stores still open: I just got back from the store here and they were pulling all the signs.

Apparently they got word this morning that the sale was ending today rather than this weekend as originally planned.

Yay for me running errands today and hitting up GS. =)

I'll find out tomorrow what's going on at work. We often do these 4 day deals, like over Memorial Day weekend. Pretty sure that one only lasted Friday-Monday.

Can anyone confirm that the sale is over? I was out on Saturday and saw the sale (in Dearborn, MI), but I was with my two year old nephew, so I didn't get to look a lot. I was going to go back tonight before class. But, no point if the sale is over.

Personally, I like the buy 1 get the 2nd for 50% off. Seems to work out better that way.

Got Halo 2 and Doom 3 for $22 each with that deal.
Oh well. I suppose the buy 1 get 1 50% off equals out to about the same savings anyways.
It's still less, though.

Discount buying 2 games with B1G1 50% off = 25% (35% w/ discount card)
Discount buying 3 games with B2G1 free = 33% (40% w/ discount card)

I went to a couple of Gamestops at lunch to see if the sale was still on and it's over at the 2 locations I went to. Fortunately one of them had a complete, near-mint copy of Suikoden II for $59.99 and the other had Arc the Lad collection (also complete and mint) for $29.99, so it was worth the trip.
