WOW - a great deal on a good game.

*my previous comment was about Mount & Blade and looked really silly when the deal was updated to Serious Sam*
Wait, is this the one that played like Heroes of Might and Magic 3?
Yup, that's the one.

Thank goodness I already bought this, or I'd have been ticked at myself for missing this deal! They were practically giving it away!

May have to look into this. I have the first, but I'm primarily using a netbook these days, so I'll check out the demo to see if it runs well. I remember sucking at this game though.

I'd buy this...but I loaded the page and sure enough, I already own it

Played the demo back when it came out and it seemed like it looked and played well.

Oh hey, I guess this means I'm 2 for 2 on already owning the game the put on sale! Good games so far.

I bought this game last year during a Steam sale and was surprised how fun it is. I felt like it went on a little long but still quite a solid game.

Excellent game! The writing is hilarious, the story intriguing and bizarre.

You'll want to play with a gamepad or controller if you have one. For $2.50 that is one sweet deal.
Agreed that it is a great game. Also one of the strangest.

I know Steam has sold this in the past for $2.
Yeah, it was a $2 Midweek Madness deal, if I remember correctly. For me, it was a great excuse to get rid of the physical CD's. (Installing a multi-CD PC game is annoying.)

I say $2.50 is an excellent deal, and those that haven't picked it up should do so. Fans of 3D platformers won't be disappointed.

thanks for the heads up, 2.50 for psychonauts is a steal! Been wanting to play this since it came out for xbox 1...and I have the 360 controller to use on my PC so thatll be good for platformers :)
Wait, is this the one that played like Heroes of Might and Magic 3?
This being the first post after the OP gets funnier and funnier every game that goes on that's less and less like Heroes of Might and Magic 3.. ;)

For anyone on the fence this game is absolutely amazing. It is a must play for any gamer and this is soooooo tempting but I already beat it on the original xbox...maybe a replay is in order.

hmmmm for this same $2.50 i could buy 40oz of malt liquor......i played a bit of psychonauts when it came out and its a buy! buying it now. just wondering how does it control on PC?
Dang, great price on IMO Double Fine's last good game.
really?! First of all, this was their 1st game and 1 of 4 games they have. I thoroughly enjoyed their last two games and didn't mind brutal legend at all

Dang it! I want this and forgot they did these 24 hour sales. I'm too tired right now to find my credit card! Hopefully I'll get in on it tomorrow morning.

Just a reminder, SED1 doesn't work with 64 bit systems and Croteam has more or less confirmed they have no intention to patch or fix it because they're focused on SED3 and the actual game Serious Sam 3 (and the HD remakes of the games). SED1 was a better editor than 2 IMO (especially since it WORKED), but what are you gonna do? SED3 is out, but I haven't sat down to learn it yet. I mention the SED1 issue because it's always a selling point of this retro re-release, that it has an editor. Many of us have 64 bit OS's. As much as I love Croteam, I got pissed when I realized the futility of getting SED1 to ever work.

edit: SED = Serious Editor, Croteams editors (they have model, animation and level creators)

Oh, okay, I thought you meant the game itself. Well, technically I could run it in a VM if I wanted to, but realistically I've never actually done level editing, so I'm fine since the game runs :)

I'd bite, but I already bought it from GOG! Still haven't played it, but I'm more excited after seeing the screenshots again, and after Bulletstorm talk. Well, I did play the demo back a few years ago actually.

Until Thursday, May 5 at 6:59 a.m. EDT, GOG is offering a classic adventure from the mind of Benoit Sokal, Syberia, at a 60% discount. There's no reason you wouldn't want to bite on this deal unless you have an aversion to clever puzzles, immersive gameworlds, or mammoths.

Syberia
For anyone who's played Syberia, is it similar to Dreamfall?
Syberia is really a standard point and click adventure, using inventory on items, talking to people, that sort of thing. The story is nothing to write home about, unlike TLJ/Dreamfall, where it takes center stage. But, there's nothing WRONG with it, and the atmosphere is really great. You'll enjoy it, but you won't be on the edge of your seat.

Syberia is one of my all time favorite adventure games. Such a great sense of wonder and discovery with puzzles were easy enough that I didn't have to consult a walk-through. Unfortunately the sequel was missing the magic of this one.

I would say that if you like The Longest Journey you would like Syberia. It has more of a Myst vibe, aesthetically, though (compared to TLJ's scifi/fantasy).

I've been hearing good things about Syberia ever since it was released ages ago. Thanks OP.

I tried playing the DS version of this game a while back but felt like the game wasnt registering my touches. I would know what to do but couldnt get the damn game to respond. Always said I'd give it a shot on the PC for a reasonable price. Four bucks fits the bill. Thanks OP.

Woah, I had no idea someone tried to port it to the DS. Just read the IGN review (2 stars) and they said it removes a lot of narrative stuff from the original, in addition to worse control and much worse graphics.

I have a CD version of this game that's been sitting on a shelf for 2 years. My brother gave it to me when he moved. I didn't know anything about it.
