There was a posting from Deepsilver on Facebook a couple months ago talking about new content for "Dead Light" or some Deepsilver game.  A fan in the comments asked something along the lines of, "Why waste your time on DLC for this game?  Why not put your efforts on Dead Island 2?"  Deepsilver actually responded in the comments with "Don't worry, Dead Island 2 will be coming."  Everyone in the post started freaking out and Deepsilver actually reiterated this multiple times in the post.  I tagged a few friends that are also waiting for this one. They provided no details or time frame, but they did confirm it is indeed coming out.

Deep Silver said two months ago they are working on the game, maybe it'll actually come out this year.

Sumo Digital took over developing this game 2 1/2 years ago. The studio is also working on Team Sonic Racing and the constantly delayed Crackdown 3. At best, it could come late 2019, but I would not be surprised if it's later than that. We've never seen anything from this game beyond the CG trailer 4 years ago, and nothing has really come out since the first studio working on it was let go and Sumo was announced to replace them.
