This month at hastings they have selected used titles marked down to $9.99 each. Mario Superstar Baseball was the only one really worth mentioning. It's great that this gamecube game can be found at a reasonable price. When I bought copies of it today, I had to show them the in-store flyer to prove to them that $9.99 was the correct price. Hopefully, they won't hassle you.

In case you really don't care for the game, you could always pick up a few and trade them in @ gamestop to get $20 in credit! I will be combining this with the trade in 3 get $10 extra deal for sure.

If you don't have a hastings, I'll grab extra copies to sell/trade!

EDIT - Here's a scan if you need proof!

mlb 06 the show PSP is a good deal!
I'd be interested in that one :)
too bad I don't have a hastings
I've got some CC games i'd trade for it

I would love it if someone could pick up a copy of this game, complete, in excellent condition.. I have no Hastings near me so I'm not familiar with the quality of their used games, but please PM me if you can help.

I would also pay $20 shipped, or trade something for Mario Baseball. VERY interested.

Also, MLB 06 for PSP is a GREAT game.

Oh yeah, I'd like it to be complete in great condition. If anyone can help me out, please give me a PM.

Ahh, who I am I kidding. I can't afford $20. If someone wants to trade, LMK.

I'd like the sky to open up and rain Skittles like in those Skittle commercials.

$9.99 for NBA Live '06 on PSP sounds sweet.

and MLB '06 The Show is the best baseball game on the PSP.

damn, too bad i don't have a hastings.

Yeah i would for sure pay $20 bucks shipped for mario baseball. If someone can pick me up that would be great. I live in No Cal so no hastings

Well I'm obviously going to pay for it. Don't see how a request for a complete, good condition game is such a farfecthed thing on a website like this.
Do you know if they'll believe a scan if I print that out?
I dunno about proving it to them with the scan. After all, it doesn't even say "hastings" anywhere on the thing... If not, there should be some flyers at the store.
Today I'll be hitting another town in search of more copies of this game. Tomorrow, I'll be doing the same. When I get back, I'll try to hook some of you people up with a deal. I can't promise a bunch of copies, but we'll see.

ya I bought one yesterday and couldn't believe it. Also Ill make another thread about MLB 06 The Show for PSP is also 9.99 used at Hastings, along with (Mark of Kri, Madden06 and a couple of others I'll get the full list here in a bit.)

If someone can grab an extra copy of MLB the show 06 for psp id pay for it.

Also, i just bought Mario Baseball for 35 like a week ago >.
Great deal on a game that will be $50 new forever
Super Smash Brothers Melee, Mario Karrt Double Dash, and Mario Golf have all dropped to the $20/$30 level. Why won't this one?

Figures. My Hastings does have about 4 copies of Mario Baseball, but there are no flyers around the store, nor were there any in the Sunday paper. Somehow I don't think they will take a scanned page as proof, either. Oh well. :S

Those are all over two years old. SSBM is over four years old.
I'll up the ante and pay $22 for a copy of Mario Baseball.
Let's not turn this into ebay. Anyone who is able to pick up extras should ask those who asked first.

I just got back from another hastings. I picked up three more, only to find that one of them had do disc inside! So... I got 2 more and traded in one. They gave me a hard time AND took my one and only flyer when I bought them. I rechecked the store at my home and the flyers were completely gone. It's like they don't want us to know about their sales...

As far as offers go, I would appreciate $22, seeing as how Gamestop will give me $20 credit and ebay will fetch for $30. I wanna help you guys out, but I also want to make some money. By the end of the week I should be done raiding the stores and I'll start getting ahold of the ones interested in my copies. Thanks.

It would have been nice if they had marked them down instead of having to show them a flyer that is mysteriously missing. Without it, those copies are just going to sit there behind the glass. :S

On a slightly OT note, I never did like the layout at Hastings....all of the games behind the glass except for the Nintendo section (and partially the PSP section) have holes for reaching. I hate having to get someone to come over, only to find out the DS/GBA/GC game I'm looking at is full priced. : /

I would like to buy a copy of Mario Baseball as well. If Gamestop gives you $20, the I will pay $25 seeing how it's a pain in the ass to ship and all.

Because there were so many things being stolen from the cases (people would open the cases and pull the GC/DS/GBA games out).

Makes sense, I guess. Shame they had to cram all three systems behind one display...then again, there aren't enough GC games to fill half a rack, apparently. The GC cases are a little too big to squeeze out of the holes, though with a little effort, you could probably crumple the GBA to get it out. I would think the PSP section would be an easy target, seeing as some of the holes are open.
Has it been confirmed this is all Hastings?

I have never seen a Hastings deal that was chain wide.
I've seen the flyer at both of the hastings that I've visited so far here in Arkansas. It also mentions certain dvds being 50% off like the American Dad dvd set on the front of it. There are other deals in there as well. I didn't see any advertising other than the flyer itself for the sales.

Well add me to the list for mario baseball, check my collection for DS games I might trade, otherwise I can paypal.

It's too bad hastings is terrible for used games. They seal all their used games so it's always a surprise. Bought a used game at hastings? Welp, you can't check if it has the manual or if the disc is in terrible condition until you get home and unwrap it. Goody!

You can buy it, then open it when you get to your car before you leave - that's what I do when places sell sealed used games. Too bad there's no Hastings close to me as I really like the store. I always go to Hastings when there's stores in a town I'm in.

Fair warning to all!

So I go to the one in San Marcos Tx. I specifically called before going and asked if they had any used Mario Superstar Baseball thats in the sale ad. They said yes. I make the 25 drive. Grab my 1 copy and try checking out. Its comming up at 39.99. I showed the ad and eventually a "CS" manager comes and looks and after digging through the computer they claim that the 3 they have in stock, while in fact used, dont count because they were ex-rentals and not trade in's. They claim that they would get in trouble if they sold it to me because this and that and Hastings would lose money. After a nice discussion about how it says nothing in the sale ad about excluding ex-rentals and the fact that I called ahead to make sure they had it and I was told they did. I asked them how fair is it to say you dont want the company to lost money yet you got me to drive 25 mins one way to get a game on sale that I was told over the phone you had?

So needless to say Im going to be raising some hell.

Well, at least with the external packaging they don't plaster the games and discs with stickers like EB and Gamestop. You can always return it too as long as it's within a reasonable amount of time.

Well, actually if it's an ex-rental which most of the ones I've found are, then it's got a little sticker on the disc that they scan the game with. I have one copy where the sticker is on both sides of the disc! They kind of overdid it.

that was probably just some dick thinking he's so kewl

Thanks to the OP! Picked it up today though it was an exrental. Just played kind of stupid and they let me get it (they had to manually adjust the price). Had them check in the computer first and it is in there for 9.99. The flyer is their monthly list of new releases not at all like a sale ad. Thanks again!
