$33.87 plus shipping (says free if you pick it up at your local store, but that might not be an option for everyone).

If you don't already have this series in your collection or have never seen NGE, this is the perfect price to pick this up.

I would so buy this if I didn't already have the Perfect Collection.

I'm actually still thinking about picking this set up.

$12 was the cheapest for me as well. That's pretty crappy, but even at the price it's still a good deal.

Anyone know if they sell this set in-store? I would assume not likely.
Amazing deal, but I can't find the option to do store pickup (or even check if it's available). Any suggestions?
Same here. I will go for it if it has this option. anyone know how to do it?

OK, so I called their customer service. The $75.99 standard shipping is an error, but it's beyond that call center's ability to handle. They suggested waiting until it gets fixed (but I don't know how long that deal will last!).

In store pickup is only available in 6 states, and Cali isn't one of them.

You have to go to checkout and it will ask for your zip code. From there it will let you know if in-store pick up is available.

Wryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

this had to happen the day the Wii came out.

hopefully this will be around later. Not like the boxed set is limited.

Wow. I stopped myself after buying three of the original release as the platinum set was announced. So I paid at least $20 for each of the platinum releases... at least I have watched all of them. This is a great price for a good series, but it may be tough to wrap the mind around at the end.

I also have the Evangelion Perfect Collection although someone stole the box it came in. =( What was added in the Platinum edition?

They redid the transfer and cleaned it up considerably. I think they enhanced the sound some too.

Which one? Episodes 25+26, the end of evangelion, or the end of evangelion followed by 25+26? These are three endings.

temping, but i just know that in the near future there will be a blu ray/HD DVD version, and I might as well wait for that.

The audio and video have been remastered. Once you watch the Platinum edition, you won't be able to go back.

Buy it.

I think that sums it up pretty well. You need to get those extra discs to help make it click. Or read about it online!

Deal is dead.

I'm still debating if I want to buy these to replace my original set, but I'm wary of that 10th anniversary edition that's coming out soon.

The 10th anniversary edition has been delayed/cancelled. Either way it looks like if it ever does come out it won't be for a while.
