"DEAD" New Sega Dreamcast Console $14.99 + SH

Hmm indeed.

If they're Black Dreamcasts, they should be in Sega Sports boxes with some old (I think) 2k1 sports games, it doesn't mention anything about that in the description.

At the same time, for $15 + shipping, I'm tempted to order one and see what shows up.

EDIT - Looking at the additional shots, it does indeed show a Sega Sports DC with a European controller. How the hell did that happen?!

EDIT 2 - Now OOS, less than 3 minutes after I initially clicked the link. Oh well.

Don't forget, if you're an ECA member, you might be able to score a discount if you buy some Dreamcasts in bulk. You can receive $10 off orders over $50 and $5 off on orders between $25 and $50.

Does anyone want the link to sign up for the ECA to get this discount?

;-)

For what it's worth, I ordered one a few months ago, and it came in the Sega Sports box with 3 games. It was, however, a white system. Also, the extra controllers they were selling were the European (blue swirl) ones, so that's how that happened.

So, yeah, anyway... did ThinkGeek screw up, or did everyone just get confused and not realize the $15 was the controller?

Dreamcasts, like Sega Saturns, are fairly easy to repair and flip. The closest thing to an eBay business/shop I ever had was buying/selling Dreamcasts in 2002/2003.

I lived in Manhattan at the time, and the local Gamestops were trying to clear them all out super cheap. So I'd buy them new for stupidily low prices, flip them for tiny profit, buy Japanese Dreamcasts, modify them, flip them for a lot of money- BAM.

I sold my personal Dreamcast last year. Meh, didn't need it. The only thing I have left is my personal Saturn, and I'll *never* get rid of that.

Dreamcasts are like hamsters- they'll die fast. If you can't repair it, or get it repaired, don't bother.

I've had my Dreamcast since launch and it works perfectly, whatchu talkin' about?

Same here I was still using my Dreamcast on a occasional basis till MvC2 and Soul Calibur came out on Xbox Live arcade.

This was for the controller. I did the same thing last year and when I emailed they said it was for the controller. Cancel your orders and close thread.

Keep their water bottle filled, and don't mix their food with the cedar shavings; they'll keep spinning alright.

I have two that I used for years and totally abused. Whoever made the previous comment about them breaking frequently is out of their mind. They must have been thinking of the Dreamcast360.
