My instore pickup was cancelled as well. However, if I weren't an idiot, I could've picked it up yesterday as I drove past Best Buy but completely forgot about THUG2.

i picked mine up yesterday for Ps2 with no problems..i must say that this is the best deal i have gotten on a good game in awhile..thanks
 
My pickup at the Nashville North (Rivergate) store for the PS2 version got cancelled. I had tried to order it for pick up at either of the other two Nashville stores, but I couldn't (it was shown online at the Cool Springs store, but I couldn't check out with it in my cart). I was near Cool Springs this evening, so I decided to see if there were any there. There weren't any PS2, but I did get the last GC version (since I got the last one, I brought the shelf tag up to check out with me). It rang up $19.99, as expected, but the cashier adjusted it without issue when I showed her the tag. I also got a Playstation 2 USB expander for $1.50 (it was marked $2.99, but in a 50% off bin that I am guessing was specific to this one store), and a few penny guides (HL2, Doom 3 (Xbox), GTA: Vice City (PC), and Star Wars Episode III. I passed on Empire Earth II and Matrix Online). I really wanted the PS2 version instead of the GC version, but GC version is better than nothing. Thanks OP.
 
Wow - I'm amazed at how many of you were able to get cashiers to override the $19.99 price. I picked up a couple GC versions at one BB (they had a ton), where the shelf tag said "$4.99 - as advertized". After they rang up $19.99 I told the cashier the shelf tag said $4.99. She asked another employee about it, who started looking through the ad for this week - found the "$4.99 if you buy THAW" blurb, and said "apparently you have to buy another game to get that price". End of story... At least my in-store pickup at that store was still good (though at a second store it got cancelled later that day - wasn't going to get to that store until Saturday anyway). Had I known how many they had at this store and that they wouldn't let me buy them for $4.99 in store I would have ordered a few more online to use as trade fodder. They are still sitting there (for some reason this store had a lot of the GC version but no PS2).
 
Oh, so that's why the 4.99 tag was on there. Oh well. The cashier I had looked at another cashier and asked her if it was really 4.99 and the other cashier said "I guess so". So she then went back and pulled the sticker and rang it up that way.
She then said that "you're the last person to get this game at that price".

I wonder if the dickhead who grabbed the remaining three copies had to pay 19.99. I sure hope so because I went straight in line after I grabbed the game. He was nowhere to be found.

Yeah, I couldn't believe that people even tried after they raised the price in the system . . . the ad was very clear. But you can always hope for a lazy employee.

I only did it because I didn't know it was cancelled, and when I got there and they told me it had been returned, I was honestly shocked. I just showed her the price on the tag and got it. Had I known it had been cancelled, I wouldn't have even bothered.
 
I am a little pissed that BB cancelled my order for the ps2 version (usually a GC whore, but I wanted online play) and now I see today that it is in stock and ships next day

Maybe I will call later when I get home from work and fight with them a little bit. Anything to cost them money :evil:

I'd be pissed but I absolutely knew that was going to happen. I didn't think they'd be ballsy enough to do it the same week, I figured they would list it as back in stock next week.
