Price is now $48.99

Shipping is charged of course (about $5), but not a bad deal for those of you who don't get charged sales tax in AZ, CA, GA, OH, TX, NV,WA, IL and IN. Not saving that much, but about $10 total + time/gas whatever you want to factor in. :D This should be a great game!!

You can also check your local Frys now, the same price is reflected as posted by fidodido

See, the shipping keeps killing me with them. Even with 'ground', it comes out to $54.21. And apparently they do charge sales tax for "O-H...-I-O!!" on that site.

Oh well, thanks for the notice regardless, as it's still almost ten bucks cheaper than retail (w/tax), so I'm probably going to go with this option, unless someone here can verify my recollections of their shipping reputation being horrificly slow at times.

EDIT: I ordered it. Like Doc Brown, "I figured...what the hell!"

I don't understand that post in the context of this 360-specific thread. Anyway, apparently, it's coming out for the (regular) Xbox, too. I hope I clarified things, but I'm not feeling very confident here.

even though i gotta pay 15 bucks more
I went for it probably won't find any better deal. 54.16$ is like buying last gen at full price not too bad. If they made it free ship it would be better.

Yeah, I got that email, too. It's really still a 'go' for shipping next week (the 26th), right? My birthday is just a few days later, so...I'll probably cancel the order.

P.S. If the game ships on the 26th, when should we expect the Best Buys and Targets to get it? Wednesday? Thursday? While getting better about it, they usually seem to lag behind the gaming specialty stores by one or two days for most non-AAA titles.

EDIT: Called and canceled. Done and done. Good luck to those that don't have birthdays right around the corner and/or aren't in a big hurry.

They always send that email when its a pre order but who knows with Fry's? It might not ship ontime knowing them, but I figure I will until release and see what happens if its not shipping I will call and cancel and just go buy it.
shoot i missed it, anyone know if it will come back for $45
Extremely unlikely. Fry's tends to have a preorder discount and then back to full price for good. You may have better luck if you have a B&M nearby, though.

And as said before, they send that backorder email any time you preorder.

Anyone know when they are shipping? Everyone else has it, it could be one of those Fry's never arrives deals. I will wait until Wednsday and if it does not show up shipped I will cancel.
Just ordered mine from Estarland. $56.95 + 3.00 economy shipping - $15 Paypal rebate = $44.95 shipped. I'll take it!
How did you get the $15 rebate??? Is there a code you have to enter?

Well, you have to sign up for it through Paypal. If you go to www.paypal.com, on the right, you should see a small banner with some flowers on it that says something about a $100 million promotion. Click on that. Then, click on the "shopping site" link (sort of in the middle of the page). This takes you to a new page that should have a big "The best place to spend a $15 cash rebate?" banner at the top. Just click on "Get the rebate". Then, you have until March 31st to make a $30 or more purchase, and on May 27th, Paypal will credit you back $15. The ONE thing you have to watch out for is buying from a merchant who has a personal account (not very common, and usually only exclusive to certain Ebay sellers). Basically, anyone who offers up to $2,000 buyer protection has a business account. Hope that helps.
