Snagged the deal from FatWallet, I think it counts as a cheap ass deal

Price should be $21.99, which is significantly cheaper than retail $49.99. On Pricegrabber, the price is $41.95, link

I was able to get this price matched at Circuit City for a total of $20 and some change (difference plus 10%). I took the DVD Special Edition up to the customer service counter and they had no problems using my printout of the JC Penney page.
 
I wish I had seen this earler, because my brother is a big Sims fan, and I know he would have bought the Sims 2 for $22.
 
I just checked my order because i was bored and shipping was changed to TBA :roll: atleast i still have my email reciept saying its free.
 
It's a shame this deal died so quickly. I actually like this enough to buy this one. Unlike the first SIM's.
 
Just checked my order it has been updated to show tax being charged but shipping is still TBD. I wonder if they will just take the coupon off when they ship it
 
When I was trying to get CompUSA to price match, they called JCPenney to see which version it was and if it was in stock. They were told it was the CD edition and would take 2-4 weeks to recieve it. So they would not price match. I then went to Circuit City and had them price match the web page print out and was able to get the DVD edition for $20 and some change.

Isn't the MSRP supposed to be $50?

In other news, it was supposed to come for me today, but the UPS dude came and I was in school >.
 
I placed two seperate orders on the morning that the sale was posted, and I received them today (they're the CD version). The odd thing is that they're not showing up on my credit card yet (there's usually about a 3 day lag, so I'll probably see something tomorrow).

They probably didn't charge until it shipped and it'll show up any day now.
 
I bought a copy that day too, I'm looking at my order and it still says "Factory Ship 2 weeks", and at the bottom. I think it means it will ship in 2 weeks, I guess. Just says my order was processed and that's it..

I wish it was the DVD version though. Oh well, a great price for a great game.

They came later :p
Well, enjoying my free shipped Sims 2 CD copy, not bad.
Just takes about around 10 minutes to install due to 4 CDs and more than 2 gigabytes of info.
