[Dead] Rebel Strike III (GC) with bonus disc $15 shipped at DVDboxoffice.com

Hmmm...good deal, but don't know about ordering & providing my credit card info to another country, even if it is canada. Anyone else going to try?

From the description on their site, I get the impression that you get the demo disk only if you preorder, and that they didn't bother to change it once the game was released. But who knows, maybe they have tons left over. Makes no diff to me as I already have it.

The glowing red letters may provide a clue

Hehe, sorry I don't pay attention to fancy graphics, just the deals. ;)

WOW! I almost want to get another one so I can feel better about spending $50 on this crappy game to begin with.

I jest, it's a decent game but the on-foot missions suck. Not worth $50 but definately worth $15. This is only the second game I've ever bought at full retail and a good reminder that most, if not all, games are not worth the initial price.

Did anyone notice that the rating is 12+ in the picture? Crazy canucks and there rating system...Will pick this up though.

I grabbed it too.

If you have a VISA credit card issued in Canada, you can use the VISA2004AE code to get another 15% off.

Anyways, those of us stateside should see this in a few weeks... shipping from Canada takes obscenely long. The dumb thing is I'm only like an hour an a half from the border.

I just ordered it too. Great deal. It's funny though...when I went back to check it, it said that the arrival date was October 22, 2003. Wonder how long that wait's going to be :D
$15.35 US if you use a Visa card, else the exchange rate fluctuates.
Yeah, thats what I was charged as well (Visa card too)

Man I was going to get this but I have been trying to cut down on buying games lately. I bought NFL Street for GC and then got it for $40 and I havn't opened it yet because I don't have time to play it. I am pretty sure I am going to try Gamefly pretty soon just to cut down on stuff like getting too many games or at least see if I can beat them before I buy them.

I hate you guys and your good deals, I told myself I wouldn't get this but I broke and ordered it. I couldn't resist for the price.

can someone explain why, after i change the currency, when i'm on the confirmation page, the currency reverts back to $19.95 Canadian? should i just go on with the transaction?

WHHHHEWWW!!! Close call! I initially reserved this game with $5 to get the free disk because I am a SW nut but reviews of this game really made me think twice about blowing $45 more bucks to pick it up. I instead left my $5 at eb to use later towards something else. I ALMOST BOUGHT THIS GAME FORT $30 AT EB LAST WEEK!!

Thanks dude, I just ordered mine!!

Somebody else who ordered this check your email order confirmation.

My printout from before said $15.35, now the email says $51.50.

Any idea what gives?

I checked my order a few minutes ago and it still lists $15.35. I'd send them an email or something, I know the exchange rate can't vary that much.

I sent them an email, but here's what my original email confirmation says:

1x Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike @ $51.50 (70.20% off.)

Now... 70.20% off of $51.50 is $15.35... but that's a very odd way of wording it, isn't it?

Does no one else's email say that?

i just got my confirmation and its says 19.99. Canadian money, which is sort of like fake Monopoly money anyway. glad i got this for so cheap, i wasnt prepared to pay $50 for any star wars game in the last few years (rented KOTHOR).

Your e-mail says
------------------------
1x Star Wars: Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike @ $51.50 (70.20% off.)
Product ID: 90041119
Product Type: Nintendo GameCube
------------------------
But if you sign into your account, and view your open orders it will say
$15.35 (70.20% off $51.50 is roughly $15.35)

Exactly...

but that's still a bad way to word it in the email, it makes a person nervous :)

damn!!! i checked mine and it says $19.95 Canadian crap money!!! that sucks I used a friggin VISA card too! I hope this comes across to my account as $15.35 american!! I already emailed the cancel order department and told them I want it in US funds or just cancel my order!!

This deal is AWESOME. I didn't have the money to get it when it came out, but then reviews said it wasn't was good as the others, so I passed. but at $15, I'm definetly buying it.

I just got my confirmation email and I saw this:

Payment Information:

Card Holder: (censored)
Number: (censored)
Expiration: (censored)
Total Charged: $.00

I edited my card info out, but did this happen to anyone else? Am I getting Rebel Strike Free?

Usually I don't bother to read the account info email unless I have to activate it or something. While placing the order, there was nothing indicating the account have to be validated and the order seems went through (got confirmation email). However, the account info email (I am new there) says that if the account is not validated, I can still place the order, but it won't be shipped. So if anyone missed that step like I did, maybe you should check your email quickly.

Thanks for the great deal still!

You twit, it doesn't matter what kind of money it says. They're a canadian company, they'll recieve their payment in canadian dollars eventually anyway. Nice deal though.

That's what mine says too... I'm taking it to mean they haven't charged yet, but will when it ships. But then, other stuff in the email is rather vague too.

Alright, I know the deal is over and everything but if someone could answer me this question, which prevented me from buying it: Is the $15 I would've spent towards RSIII better used towards buying RSII for $16? Seeing as how it got lackluster reviews i figured the $16 RSII was the better deal, but I was also thinking the extras might have made it worth it. Dunno.

No, if RS2 was cheaper than RS3 by like $10, then by all means go for part2. But at that price, picking up 3 is a non-brainer. Mainly because it has all the par2 missions included in the 2player coop mode. Too bad damn I missed it!
