If someone could answer this fast, I'd appreciate it:

question about the last 12 hours (big spoiler):
am I supposed to run around and kill special forces or just survive for 12 hours? what about finding zombie Jesse? how about brad? I'm expecting that he survived somehow...

Oh and so far, this is probably my favorite game of the year. what a pleasant surprise!

I got caught by the bastards and then you have to play an escape mini game type thing. Everytime you fail it you lose like 2-3 hours of time. I got caught with 12 hours left, and by the time I passed that escape mini game I only had 1 hour and 30 minutes left. so I had to jet to the helipad. made it with like 30 minutes to spare.

So I am not actually sure how you are supposed to play out the final 12 hours but thats how mine went down.

From what I understand you can spend the last 12 hours pretty much doing whatever you want. As long as you're not at the helipad at 10 am you get a call and then a cutscene and then after that all you have to do is go sit your ass on the helipad.

okay finished it

damn! I guess zombie Jesse was supposed to show up by the stairs in the office, but a glitch makes it so she only shows up sometimes. I guess you can go to where brad was thrown in and find the zombie version of him too. those both land you Snuff shot B and J achievments.

Well, I think I've killed plenty of zombies for the time being... I'm putting DR aside for a while and going to other games I've yet to start. After a while, it stops being funny and becomes a damn chore.

After playing through with Ending B, then Ending A, and overtime mode I had the same reaction. I think its still a fun game and what to try a few things out, but 2 weeks off sounds good.

With Madden and Hold 'Em out and Saint's Row release next week, now is a good time to take a break from DR! Usually I would trade it in to get the most credit out of it, but it's so damn fun!
anyone have advise for the mission where you first go down in the maintenance tunnels? (intentionally vague so as not to ruin surprise!)
Look at the map, the "?" will be where you're supposed to go next, its better to know where you're going without having to look at the arrow. Bring some untouchable smoothies for towards the end of that mission. Oh, and hopefully you already have the maintenance key, if you go down the entrance in paradise plaza, there's a car once you get in. Its not that bad of a mission.

I'm with ya on that. I'll probably keep this one around as part of my collection for while. My gaming time has decreased in the past couple of years, but I haven't had this much fun since RE4 came out for the cube.

Where do you get said key from?

If you look on the map for the maintenance tunnel (took me a while to notice that there was even a map for it), towards the middle you'll see something that looks like a dead end. There's no sign (the maintenance tunnel sign which looks like a pedestrian crossing sign kind of) on that "dead end" (I can't remember if it looks like a separate room on the map). Go there, there's a door that leads to a warehouse, inside is the key.

Question for anyone who has gotten Frank The Pimp and Tour Guide. Do you just have to be escorting 8 survivors for each, as in it doesn't matter if they get back to the security office or not? I have lots of problems keeping more than 5 survivors alive at once so getting them back would pose a problem.

Finally got Transmissionary too.. damn that Otis.

just beat bomb collecting and while i was heading to save, the convicts magically re-appeared and killed me.
(i had killed them and destroyed the jeep/hummer, so they havent been around till now)

awesome

i unlocked infinite mode, its not what i expected. I thought it would just be total free roaming but it adds a life draining element, i dont mind but i'd still like a way to just run around and do whatever i wanted.

a couple questions about achievements for you guys who've gotten them.
the zombie killer/genocider, the defeat 10 psychopaths, the 10 pictures of psychopaths, rescue 20 people etc, are these cumulative or do you have to do them all in one run through?

Since the counts reset each runthrough, my vote's for them all in one runthrough.. not the same runthrough for all of them, mind you, just as long as you get all of the required stuff for whatever achievement in one runthrough.

..fuck it, you know what I mean.

alright another question, greg just brought me to the bathroom shortcut and said thats as far as he can take me, but then what? i dont see any shortcut the only thing i can do is save

i just beat 72 hour, got ending a and it prompted me to save.

then i die right after overtime mode starts. ok, no big deal. i go to load up the game and there isnt one. only start new overtime mode.

no items, no kills, no mini-chainsaw. fucking lame. i had gotten used to the saving system and was really enjoying it.

it is now shelved. maybe i should trade it in. fuck.

Whats the mainidea of the game anyway? IS it jsut search and recue missions? The demo wore off in about an hour... just killing zombies, what does the real game make ya do?

Over a thousand replies and none of them give you any ideas on what you have to do in this game?

Well, lets see, I just came into the thread... c'mon scorch, I am not reading 1000 posts!

How bout you read em and tell me what they say?

But I did glance over some and heres what I got:

Escort Missions
Killing zombies in various ways
Meeting weird people

I gotta say, the demo of this game doesnt really tell you what the game is really about when it coems to the missions and the whole aspect of the gameplay...

You never cease to amaze me. How do you constantly find new ways of showing your stupidity?

Hmm... My poop smells like nachos.

But really, from what I read, the missions i nthis game get repetitive, but im jsut asking if there is anything else than escort missions, cause thats all reviews talk about.

you dont even need to do the escort missions for the most part, the majority of them are optional. Most of it is fighting bosses and getting stuff for the cases
