I have the Wii version of POP already, but haven't gotten around to playing it, yet. I am considering picking up the PS3 version for that price. I guess my question is, is it worth it? I've heard the PS3 and Wii version are different stories.

Like others have reported, you should not completely believe the Best Buy inventory checker. I ordered Uncharted 2 last night for ship to store with a delivery date of June. Just got a series of e-mails this morning and now it is ready for me to pick up.

So, if you want Uncharted 2, I suggest just do ship to store and pick it up at your leisure since Amazon is out of stock.
 
Does anyone know how the whole trade in games at best buy works? wanted to trade my old original uncharted 2 for uncharted 2 GOTY, but they told me that i had to bring the receipt from when i bought the original uncharted 2. And they only accept trade ins games from their own store? thats fucking lame best buy! sorry first time using their trade-ins program.

this is not true at all. seems like some stores are trying to pass that on. Maybe they are lazy. I would just demand to view a computer with them, pull up BB.com and show them the outline on how to do it..

Only thing I can think of is somebody was confused when you asked them. Trade in works like you would think. You have to go to a store that accept trade ins. You'll have to provide ID and all that stuff that shows you're old and able enough to trade. When you trade something, they will give you a Best Buy giftcard. That's about it. Only thing I can think is maybe they thought you were trying to get money back from a reduce price in which you would have to bring in your receipt. Like I said, not all location do trade ins so if that store isn't one, than he may of been confused on what you wanted. BB site should have the ability to tell you which location near you that accept trades. If your store is one, try calling them again and ask to speak to a Manager and ask again or something.

Ahh i fucking knew it! lady didn't know what the hell she was talking about, came home and checked their website and it clearly says that they accept items bought from best buy or items bought from any other store as long as the item meets program requirements. Sigh...didn't get my uncharted goty copy

Ah, I see you're from FL too. If you go to the BestBuy website, and look at all the states that have the trade-in, FL is the only state that's missing. If I remember correctly, it has something to do with FL laws and stores buying items from consumers. FL can be an annoying state to live in...

Yes i am lol ha ha FL does suck. I was going a bit crazy looking for FL in the states and i wasn't seeing it anywhere, so i said this must be some mistake and i tried refreshing the page, but no luck. Anyways that is pretty lame for them not to accept my trade in, probably will try another store.
 
Check the Best Buy Trade In thread if you have questions. Basically only select stores to trade-ins without receipts. There's three Best Buy's around me and only one does trades without receipts. I guess the employee didn't know to suggest a store that does trades without receipts. There's a bit more effort required to do trades at Best Buy than GameStop as they require ID and signing some forms. And they may or may not want complete games with cases (this appears to be changing). Although, I think the trade-in value might have dropped for Uncharted 2, so might wanna double check that online before you go find another store.
 
I wonder if BB doesnt do trade ins here because of the various pawn shop laws. GS has to take down all your info and even get fingerprints in some counties when you do certain trade ins because of the law.

Gamestop trade-ins in FL are easy as any other state so I don't see what the problem is on that front.

I am pretty certain not all states or maybe even counties require as much info and/or fingerprints. FL didnt require it until recently either.
 
Picked up Uncharted today. Got lucky and found a store close to me with a few copies in stock. And it's in the regular case!

All the stores in my area are listed as "ship to store" for every title that is on sale... On my lunch break today I went to the one down the street and they had multiple copies of Uncharted 2 GOTY.

Lets face it, Best Buy sucks. They list things as in stock and don't have them, they list things as out of stock and do have them and they even cancel online orders even when you've bought items that are listed as in stock. What's that all mean? Call the store (if they actually pick up the phone at yours) and make an employee do some work and go see if they can find it for you.

I ordered High Velocity Bowling when it was $9.99 to be shipped to my local store on April 17th. It still hasn't arrived, even though Best Buy .com has it as "shipping within 1 business day" for the last month. I called to check on the order and the customer service rep said it was going to arrive May 30th, and that it was an "extremely popular item".

I get good deals from Best Buy so I can't complain, but their stock levels/in store stock reports are really inaccurate.
 
yeah, i bought 2 high velocities for 20.xx and traded them in for 30 total. i wish the psn was up so i could have grinded some trophies out of them, cuz all trophies are online only, but fuck psn is down so i had to trade them in before the tiv plummeted.
 
I love how when I bought Picross 3D with in store pickup, mine had me sign 2 reciepts but I could not keep one for easy return purposes incase something went wrong, lol.

Not complaining, just found it odd.

I have both versions and their totally different. The wii version has more puzzles but the ps3 version contains more combat elements. I honestly enjoyed the wii version just because I love puzzles.

My question is do they usually take way earlier for games to be shipped or will they actually take till June 15th. I might pick up Samurai Warriors still if I can get it earlier than a month :lol:

Except what I received was Club Penguin: Herbert's Revenge for the NDS.

This is the first and last time I order online from Best Buy.

I just bought Uncharted 2 GOTY, glad I saw this before I opened it. Tomorrow return it and get it for 20. Use my Reward Zone coupon, get it for 10 bucks, add Little Big Planet 2 for 50; it's like getting two games for the price of one!
 
Got uncharted 2 and infamous for $21.xx after tax and 10 dollar gift card. Lucked out on Infamous. Showed as out of stock online, found it hidden behind modnation racers.
 
According to the website Infamous is unavailable at every Best Buy near me :/

Might go to the two nearest tomorrow and check anyways.

Was able to pick up Lips Party Classics for 11.99. From that thread i looked it up and it showed no stock in the area. That BB stock locator is complete garbage. I did see power rig or whatever its called with the guitar and game for 25 bucks.
 
It appears the Uncharted 2 / U2 GOTY swap plan has ended. Uncharted 2 is no longer listed on the 3 for $60 list. The BB site shows a TiV of $9.00 today.

The date on the voucher is a typo, I redeemed mine the other day. It's supposed to say 10/2011, not 2010. You can redeem it from this site:

When I got this 2 months after released I noticed that also. When I went to use the DLC it said voucher code was INVALID. I revisited the store and the code worked. I wouldn't worry about this since I don't see how they can sell a GOTY version and have the DLC just be useless since thats the selling point.
