Dead Space and Lost Odyssey - 9.99 at FS starting this Fri!

I'm hoping I can get Dead Space, Prince of Persia, Mass Effect, and Lost Oddyssey today, but it looks like chances are bad.
 
Well looks like the TIV for BOTH Dead Space and Lost Odyssey dropped below $8 today, so those wanting to actually play the games shouldn't have any problem buying one off of RFD/CAG/etc.
 
I went today and got PoP for $20, they had nothing else. I tried a Toys r Us price match on Mass Effect since it was all they had, but they had to call the store and I couldn't get it for $10. I'm gonna try bringing the flyer to every game store I'm near, I think I'll be near a Zellers and a The Source tomorrow.

I'm glad this happened sooner rather than later, cause I made sure I beat the hoarders around here and grabbed a few so fellow caggers here (especially those who can't get it due to said hoarders) can enjoy Dead Space (no LO unfortunately). Hell, I sold one to EB manager friend already and smiles all around.

Anyways, to the rest of you CAGgers, I have 4 copies of the game; send me a PM if you want it. Depending on shipping, it'll be 15 or 16 bucks.

Other stipulations to make sure these copies are for those who want to play it rather than returning them to Walmart or whatever inlcude:
Me putting a thin cut on the security sticker/s to split them but nowhere else on the game; other than that, the game will be new and sealed with original folding wrap.

For anyone interested, just holler; also paypal only. I'll give details if anyone is interested.

And no, before you lynch me, I'm not a hoarder; I genuinely grabbed these for caggers who actually want to play the game.
 
Recommended this for a friend...I already have the games that interest me . Hopefully he can find them, or, at the very least, get a price match at Zellers or EB or something.
 
I have all the games (minus Dead Space), but I noticed the $9.99 shelf of games at Future Shop today (Kanata) was pretty empty. I also noticed another guy looking around for copies of them that might be scattered about (at least, I think that's what he was doing).

I knew this was going to happen. I'm actually surprised EB jumped on it so quickly.
 
LO finally will not be 54.99 used at eb anymore then?

Because that was seriously ridiculous. Everywhere was selling LO new for 40 and EB still had the dang thing at full price.
 
so with the tiv dropped now hopefully the rest of us who actually want to play dead space and lost odyssey may actually be able to get a copy if fs restocks this week

Probably not, EB's TIV don't correlate directly with their selling price the way that FS or BBV do it where it's directly related. They take some games in for $25 and sell them for $29.99 and others trade in for $1 and sell for $29.99
 
Anybody having any luck with pricematching anywhere besides WalMart? My local WalMart doesn't carry most of these $9.99 titles.

Ok .. that worked. I picked up all 3 games I was looking for at Zellers :) Too bad I already bought Mass Effect and Dead Space ... but there was NO way I could have waited this long to pick those up!!

Yeah that's what they told me when I stopped in there to get Dead Space today, the women that runs the gaming dept in my local FS is really knowledgable actually.
 
Quick question: I bought a copy of DS at Walmart for $40 but I didn't have the FS flyer with me. If I go in with the FS flyer will they refund me the difference back? It's still sealed
 
I imagine they would. Otherwise, return it for a refund and then buy it back with a pricematch.

I know FS has their price match guarantee for 30 days, but I'm not sure about WalMart.
 
damn.. i would jump on Prince of Persia for 19.99 if it was on the ps3.... perfect price of that game... aw well, ill just pick up prof. layton for 29.99 FS and wait on POP untill x-mas :)

dead space.... how is the feel of that gameé ( woah my keyboard doesnt have a question mark....)

Hey guys, I picked up two copies of Dead Space today from Futureshop. I'm keeping one for myself, and am willing to sell/trade the other one for the same price I got it for to those who couldn't get in on this deal.

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Keyboard I think it is. Then check the key you have set to switch to french keyboard and set it to none. Or remove your French keyboard.
 
A couple days ago I looked all over but nobody had LO in stock. Had to pick up something at Staples and by chance they had it on sale for 20$. Good enough for me :)

After taxes and shipping, it'll be over 20 bucks US anyway so you might as well try to find a cheap copy for yourself.
 
It helps when you know people who work at Future Shop... of course, it also helps if you bother to go to the right location where they've put aside the game for you...

well this one cheesed me off pretty good. I checked the online availability a few times this week and finally found it with 2 remaining yesterday so I put it in my shopping cart. by the time I enter my credit card info and try to process it there were no copies left. blurgh!

I could be wrong, but I don't think the online stock # changes until an order is placed. Two people got their CC#'s in quicker! Does suck though, thinking you have the game, only to lose out on the checkout page.
 
This has been quite an ordeal for me. My friend gave me a text when Future Shop received new copies of Lost Odyssey, and he put one aside for me, but I ended up going to the wrong Future Shop. Once I got home, I went online and ordered it for in-store pickup from the store it was supposed to be at. Unfortunately, the order was not filled, I'm assuming because they had one copy left and it was hidden away for me somewhere. I saw overnight that they seemed to gain stock again, so I placed another order, and when my friend got there this morning, he found the game he put aside for me and filled my order with it. Now I'm trying to find Dead Space...
 
The Futureshop online order isn't great. I placed an order for Dead Space and it still said they are shipping once they have them instock. I ordered it last week when the website said they have 100 copies. I waited for almost for 1 week and nothing. So I cancel the online order and go to store and pick it up.
 
Well, I went to Future Shop and got the copy of Lost Odyssey my friend left for me. I also picked up Spider-Man 3 for no reason in particular. While I was browsing, I noticed that they also had Dark Sector for $9.99, so I picked that up, along with a used copy of Burnout Paradise for $15. All in all, I'd say it was a pretty good trip. I've also got a copy of Dead Space waiting for me at another Future Shop. :bouncy:
 
For those with rainchecks, start hunting for the game soon! I just came from my local FS and they claim that the warehosue is totally empty and has 0 Dead Spaces in stock. Which means the game is going to be OOS by the time the remaining Dead Spaces make their way to your Futureshop shelves!
 
you guys are lucky if you got LO from FS... my store ran out last thursday (someone web pickup'd the last 4 copies) and never got restocked... i can't even get it for myself... i'll just have to make do with my staff-purchased used copy (which is still ~$20)...
 
If you did get a raincheck and if you can't find stock within the next 30 days, make sure to renew them. You can keep chaining them together until stock actually does start hitting stores again.
