What's the trophy where it says force and enemy into a gravity field. I don't get it.
In certain rooms (I don't think you encounter the first one until Chapter 4), there are panels on the floor that send things flying into the ceiling. They instantly kill you as well as any enemy that touches one. While there are some enemies stupid enough to walk right into them, for the most part you're gonna need to use stasis on an enemy and then physically push them into the panel. Do this five times and you should have the trophy.

you can also shoot them into it with the force gun.

On a related note, if an enemy walks into it on their own, it counts towards the five you need.
I got the game and started playing. About to finish Chapter 1. So far I'm liking it, but I still need to play it much more.
its a pretty good game and i was surprisd that i actually wanted to play it again hopefully for the next one if there is one they will
set up events wher you can save those people you see who are still alive. its kinda frustrating that you cant.

Awesome! I think you're going to like it, the storyline is much more interesting then your stereotypical horror game or movie, and it has some legitimately frightening moments. I played it a ton over the weekend and then watched a horror movie with my girlfriend, and proceeded to have some of the most shaq-fued dreams ever.

Maybe. You'd need more of an open environment, though, since (big spoiler FYI)
there's really nowhere for anyone to go once you saved them. Hell, we don't even know if Isaac survives or if what he saw at the very end was in his head. That, and anyone you see still living is pretty batshit crazy, so I don't know how much it would matter if they survived. I also think being able to save people would take away from the isolated, hopeless feeling of the game which helped make it so scary.

Lokizz, have you seen Downfall, the prequel movie? That might satisfy some of your interest, although it doesn't have a very happy ending.

nope i need to look for that though ive heard it was pretty good. and youre right that is a problem
as far as saving people goes unless you used the escape pods. i forget the game but there was one a while back wher you could do that

onto chapter 7!!!

about the end of chapter 6...
i wasted so many bullets on the food storage boss, i didnt think to use the kenesis and shoot back those rocks, lol i just kept flying back and forth, it didnt seem like i was doing any damage... then boom it dies!

OK, I'm attempting a run on impossible right now but having difficulty with the end of chapter 6. Having the same problem the poster before me talked about. :bomb:

i think that is the main problem with that boss is just wondering if youre damaging it or not. but once you know how to beat it its pretty easy even on imposible.

Yeah, I just beat it. Took me like 20 minutes!

Problem is I spent most my ammo and now the start of Level 7 is kicking my ass. I think I'm going to leave it alone for a while and come back to it when enthusiasm is a little higher as right now I feel like the game is beating me and not vice-versa.

finally got all the trophies. playing it on normal doesnt make getting the trophy for 50 percent shields any easier to get.
That's freaky man, cos I just got my platinum a short time ago too!
lol weird shit. took freakin forever just because of that one mission that i think they made overly difficult intentionally. did the one gun run on the same one too. interesting thing to note after you get the ping in impossible mode it was available during my normal mode run. now i can say im completly done with the game.

Just started playing this game and I have to say that I've been really impressed so far. The atmosphere, in particular, is brilliant.

The funny thing is that I played the demo and came away quite uninspired. I'm thinking that they should perhaps release a demo which is closer to the game itself.

Can anyone recommend any of the DLC?

As far as I can remember they're all suits...that cost money...sigh.

I am about to do my pistol only run and then I'll be doing my hardest difficulty run to get that platinum trophy. If any of the suits add much I might get one just to have something genuinely new to look forward to. I am primarily interested in gameplay (additional inventory, stat improvement, new abilities) vs. merely aesthetics (you are PS3 Vector-man ninja!).

dont waste your money on that stuff. i got all the trophies in that game without it and once youve completed the game and gotten the trophies ( did it in 3 playthroughs) you wont be going back.

Alright, thanks lokizz. I am going through my 2nd playthrough on my finished NORMAL game to get full upgrades and I am going to do pistol only. For pistol only, melee is okay, right? I haven't fired any weapon except the plasma cutter but I did accidentally "aim" a line rack because I had it to start with.

yeah im pretty sure its ok to hit them when youre doing the one gun run. i did that one on normal i think just to save myself the hassle. but be prepared to get pissed off trying to get that one trophy for shooting the rocks in space. took me forever to do that one and i almost gave up trying.

the plasma cutter is a pretty good weapon. what makes that game so hard is figuring out where to hit the enemies on your first run in the game. doing that and trying to conserve ammo and survive is what makes it so challenging.

Meh. The game is too easy on Normal. I got that asteroids trophy but that was the most hard/frustrating part of the game. Not challenging. Just stupidly hard to control.

yeah i tried it on normal on the off chance theyd make the asteroid part easier so i could get that trophy but no go. its pretty much damn luck imo. id be up for a sequel if they had more enemy types and if you could jump. i dont get what it is about survival horror games and not being able to jump or climb up on things. though doing the zero g flying was cool.

I'll kinda' miss the game when I return it back to GameFly, upgrading all the weapons hit that "gamer crack". Took 16.5 hours on Medium (twice as long as I expected it to), though its freight factor was lost after the first 1/3 (last 2/3 became pretty predictable killboxes).

Highly anticipating a sequel and would buy at full price with the inclusion of a cooperative mode akin to Gears of War 2's "Horde" mode. Isaac better do more than scream, I mean they automatically lost that "imagine you're in the suit" feeling when they showed his face in the game's stellar opening.

Too many [necromorph] babies!

So I beat the game a second time and don't know if I have enough drive to do the Impossible Run for the trophy.

I've come to believe that I can play through a game two times at most. And this holds true for most of my Platinum trophy games: Resident Evil 5, Uncharted, Bioshock, and Batman.

After two run through I get a feeling that the game is now a chore and I'm grinding for trophies. Knowing all the ins-and-outs of the game will certainly make the run through faster but I feel so ... naked having a Level 1 suit and no upgrades.

I think I'll blog this, too.
You're doing a level 1 suit-only playthrough on 'Impossible'? Sounds fun and I'll try that if I can find a deal online.
Oh HECK NO! I mean starting out at a Level 1 suit and having to work my way back up is going to be ridiculous. I enjoy difficult games, but I'm not a sadist.

I ran into this same problem when I went back a couple weeks ago to attempt to plat this. The "get all upgrades" trophy takes 2.5 play-throughs by itself if you don't use the credit glitch. Then I'd still need to play through the entire game again on impossible using only the plasma cutter. I will probably go back to it at some point... it was fun going back to it a year later. But, I don't see myself doing it anytime soon.

I'm struggling to get into this game. Its really starting slow. I just finished Part 1 and I am really hoping that the story and gameplay get better.

You know theres a problem when I'm finding Lego Rock Band to be more enjoyable.

Just started this in anticipation for the sequel (weird, I know). It has been in my back log forever and I always knew I'd play prior to part 2. I really like it so far, just made it to chapter 3 (so I am at the beginning!).

Love being late to the party...

If I remember correctly that was a bit of an easter egg. You had to rotate the camera at the right time to be able to catch a glimpse.

Although I'm with you on wanting more dialogue. I get tired of those games where you're a mute.
