I'd check the order status and make sure it's showing as Open or if it's showing as Canceled. You can't go on the credit card status on the assumption that it's canceled or still open.

I did quick checkout under the same email but I never received a confirmation email or anything.

The only way to know for sure is to call them (emailing them is usually pointless) and ask them if there's an order under your email address.

Wait a minute! I remember now. I was going to do a quick checkout, and I realized that I had an account. I signed in, and placed my order. I'm secondly calling them though. I'll let you guys know what happens. I would just check my account to be safe.

If it says "open", it's still a live order.

I just checked and it stated that there weren't any previous orders...I'm so done with this company.
 
Yeah, i try and order from them as little as possible. My last experience, i ordered a bunch of stuff from them, received most of my order. About 2 weeks later, i receive an e-mail from them saying that my order of the blu-ray of The Terror, had been cancelled, like i requested. I never did such a thing, so i e-mailed them and told them so. The replied back 2 days later saying, they sent the wrong e-mail, and that the blu-ray was out of print, so i ordered one from amazon instead.
 
Well I've received 2/5 items from this sale and I've at least gotten the shipping confirmation email for the remaining three. I was a bit paranoid since the price of everything got jacked way up since I placed the initial order. I'll reserve judgement until I have the rest of my order in hand but at the moment the outlook is good.

Oh nah, I didn't order Star Wars from here, I should've clarified. I was just talking about the sale in general. I know DD has a reputation for canceling just about everything lately so I figured it was worth noting anyway (4/5 items received now).

It didn't look like the SW pre-order was a glitch or mistake because it showed up at DVD Planet later for a set amount of time. It was also up long enough too so that if it was an error it could've been corrected quickly. Fingers crossed obviously but I doubt we will see cancellations.

I was pleasantly surprised that my order from last week showed up yesterday. Typically DDD is always slow but this was one of the faster orders I'd ever gotten from them to the East Coast. Hopefully they've turned a corner, though nothing surprises me these days.

I actually placed two orders by accident since I had an expired card posted and then went and ordered the second one via google checkout. Both orders are under the status "Charged" and "Open." So far so good. My experience with DD has been limited but they are 100% so far for me. :)
 
Good news! I just called and spoke with a customer service rep. She said that funds were set aside from my account, and I would be charged once the item ships! She also is going to be in contact with me when she receives information with a tracking number from the warehouse which should be within three days. That's what I call excellent customer service! The item is currently on back order because they were hit hard last week for that price!
 
Did anyone order from DVD Planet when it was $65 for the SW Complete Saga (Bluray)?

I just got a shipped confirmation email from them. Anyone else?
 
Very surprised to get my copy from DVDPlanet last night. Changes aside A New Hope looks friggin' astounding.
