I wanted to construct a cool trade thread, but there are just way too many CAGs trying to be smart or funny, deliberately trying to make things difficult for me, so I'm going to simply abandon this attempt. My apologies to all the CAGs who wanted my stuff. Maybe I'll try again around Christmas.

Call dibs on Earthbound and the rubik's cube. Not to be weird, but is the rubik's cube "lubed"? Or is it how it came in the packaging...

Lol, I couldn't tell you whether it was lubed or not. It doesn't feel like it. My downstairs neighbors left it in their apartment when they moved, so I took it. :)

It will be a trade thread. I'm just trying to edit it and make sure I'm pleased with it, so I don't have to update it again for a long time. :)
Maybe I'll just make another one. Oh, and that's either an international or multilanguage version of Windows. I have several multilanguage versions of Win98/ME/2K for trade if people actually want them.

What the hell, man. You post a thread, tell people that you aren't trading, tell people not to PM you, then tell people not to post in this thread unless they want to trade, which you're not doing.

What teh fucking hell was the point of even making this thread? That's why I posted that picture, because it completely went over your head. This post is completely useless as long as you aren't trading and you could've just put this in wordpad or something. This thread should be deleted, or something. Post again when you're ready to trade.. along with a want list :p

Yes, wantlists are good but I'm sure he could continue using this thread, its not like it won't bring more people in. After all if you say you don't want to trade but put up a tradelist people do become interested.
 
Wordpad doesn't use the same markup that CAG does. You're correct that this post is completely useless, to anyone but me. You certainly don't have to post in it. It didn't go over my head; I just chose to ignore it. When I'm done updating this thread, with pictures and whatever else I decide to include, then I'll be ready to trade. It's just something you're going to have to deal with.
 
Wordpad "Doesn't use" the same markup that CAG does? Lain, the only HTML you used in your post is underline and bold. The point is that everyone else makes a list and posts when they're ready to trade.. this is going to cost nothing but confusion.

seriously... why post it if you don't want trade offers yet? so you can look at your list? scorch was right... you could've wordpadded it. and yes, you can save html documents to your harddrive and, gasp, look at them even if they aren't posted on the internet!

anyhow, now i'm tainting this non-trading trading thread...

i'll give you 10 dollars paypal for the capcom fighting stick
 
For all the geniuses who keep talking about HTML, this forum doesn't use HTML. It uses its own markup language, and the only way for me to view the results of my editing is to do it in this forum. I really don't need your opinions, and I'm very familiar with the wonders of Wordpad. I believe I am justified in wanting to take time to edit my post. The bigger issue is that I don't have space in my Inbox right now, and I can't accept any PMs. Thanks.

Well only cause I had to be jerk in part but otherwise really curious,
about how much is invested in having all those sealed games/dvds/cds?

And footnote, for games, you could use IGN's Gamelist and edit it there, DVDs and CDs you could use guzzlefish and then just provide a link to both your pages there and just say, everything for trade. all other miscellany could be posted here (like controllers/consoles)

Actually, this forum does use it's own markup, though I realize you have no clue. It has an IMG tag, and a B tag, and a handful of other tags. This is clearly markup, though not HTML, and unless someone can find an editor that supports it, I'll keep doing my updates here in my trading thread which should have fallen off the front page by now.

Uh, I do realize, thanks, and that's not "its own markup".. it's normal BBCode. How hard is it to use an image tag? I mean, seriously, [*img] starts it, [/*img] closes it (minus the starts, obviously). I've worked with this and HTML as well as java and compiled C++ for a while, but it's great of you to assume that I have no clue what you're talking about. If you can't get an image code and use image tags in wordpad and see it come out.. then.. well, practice it or something, because it's quite easy to tell.

Why don't you create a web page & just post a link to it in your sig when you are done?

Who cares what people here have said? That doesn't change any games you own or want, so just post the list again and start trading with people. You act like everyone here did something terrible.

That's the thing. If he was taking offers, that'd be fine. He didn't have a wanted list, he flat-out said don't PM me, he said that he isn't trading right now, and he told everyone not to reply unless they wanted to trade, which he wasn't doing.

So basically, he made a complete and utter useless post. I would've called dibs on something, but he probably would've ranted about how I'm not supposed to post in this magical trading thread and thrown a few random insults my way.
 
You know, its a real shame certain people can't leave well enough alone and feel the need to be total pricks about things. If he wants to to a trade list that he's not trading out of right now... how does that hurt you? I understand being able to come off like a big man online makes up for certain insecurities you have in real life... but get off it people.

It's not that. If you saw the full post, he was basically a "dicknut" and told people not to reply here. I don't understand what the point of this post was if he's not trading, like I said, he could've did the same thing in wordpad. It has nothing to do with "insecurities", it has nothing to do with being a "dicknut", it's just.. rude to make a post, tell people not to post in it, but yet list a ton of games and no want list. It just made no sense, and several others on the first page agreed.

I can't help what a google image search for "wordpad" brings up. I picked the first one that highlighted wordpad and posted it.
