the thing that kills the contest for me is
1) Downloading from a random guy seems pretty shady. My malware senses are tingling
2) You need 1000 people to download it before you draw for it. Seeing as how there is 1 download so far, I won't risk my computer for basically no chance to win a gift card.

It is a text file...and its not a gift card, its $50 through paypal.
