Deadly Premonition X360 $10.88 NEW w/prime

Surprisingly entertaining, if I didn't already have it, I would recommend it to people. Gameplay is not greatest, nor are graphics, but still very enjoyable experience.

This. Really enjoyed this one a lot more than I thought I would. Even went back through the game 2 more times to do all the sidequests/achievements.

It's an interesting and quirky game that gives a Japanese take on small town America... if you like Twin Peaks and Alan Wake, and would like to experience them in a free to roam semi-real time environment, this is a great game.

The graphics are not very good, but aren't bad enough to detract from the game... the character models are relatively well done and are able to convey emotions reasonably well... The voice acting, especially the main role by Jeff Kramer (of Seaman fame) is surprisingly good. The story... well that depends on what you like... if you like suspenseful mysteries with a serial killer on the loose and gruesome crime scenes all set in a quirky world with a musical score that turns from melancholy to incredibly cheerful on a dime... then this is the game for you!!!

I bought this game on a whim for about $10 at Microcenter last year and I just could not put the thing down... I think I played it for over 20 hours (probably more than that) doing sidequests and trying to see where the crazy story would lead me! This was my GOTY for 2010!

You know what? fuck it! Everyone raves about this game, so there has to be something there! It looks underwhelming to me, but for a little over $10, I'm willing to give it a go.

$10 I'm willing to take a flyer on some wackiness, always looked intriguing. Man I've bought a ton of games for $15 and less this week, and I still have Fallout 3 New Vegas in cellophane. I need a month off work.

Definitely worth it. This was my price point for this game but I'll have to pass with everything BB has been throwing my way. Hopefully it sticks around for awhile longer.

*Bro fist* It was my GOTY last year too. I bought it at full price about a month after it came out after reading the Destructoid review. So good; the characters and VA in this game is fantastic to the point where it easily rivals a AAA game's VA. It's definitely worth it for the characters and the writing alone; York is easily one of this gen's best and memorable characters, and the supporting NPC's are icing on the cake. Oh and the music is great especially Life is Beautiful.

If anyone can look past the Dreamcast graphics, and boring Resident Evil 4 style combat, then you'll find a surprisingly quirky and funny game with a crazy but intriguing plot, and satisfying side quests that flesh out the NPCs' more. Again, check it out guys; it's well worth it at that price; you'll get more than your money's worth.

I guess it's worth giving a shot at $10, personally though I never understood the appeal... lots of interesting ideas, but none of them are executed well.

I went ahead and ordered one. I finally gave Alan Wake another shot last week and I have really been enjoying it. These types of games seem to hold my attention longer than some of the other titles I have played. Thanks OP!

Did I mention how all of these gaming deals since Thanksgiving weekend has literally drove me nuts :) My son will have enough PS 3 games to play for a while, and I will have an even longer back log :(

Anyone know of a place that has meeting for game addiction?

Let me ask you this .. anyone know of a place that has meetings for game/movie buying addiction? I haven't played a game in months, I've just been busy creating an insane backlog of games and blurays. plz halp

This game was my favorite in 2010. Only for gamers that like quirky and unique titles. It really is a treasure for those that are willing to accept it for what it is......strange and quirky characters and gameplay. Remember to read your coffee and the daily shave to help Francis York Morgan the town to save.

I have over 400 PS2, 200 Xbox, 40 GC, 150 GBA... Haven't counted my PSX and older gen games yet...

I brought my X360 during BF, now I own more than 40 X360 games.

Plus I have about 20 Wii & PS3 games, and I dont even have the consoles yet, so I've been holding back my purchases.

Oh... I've recently started collecting old PC games... System Shock 2, Fallout 1 & 2, UFO, Diablo, JA...

Overall, I think I have finished about 3 games so far, 2 of which were when I was a kid (Rings of Power & Phantasy Star II)...

Yes, I have over 1000 games in my backlog...

We should form a CAG-shopaholic help group...

There's no way I could watch a character run like that the whole time...and what is going on with his gun (27:25) at the end...shoots like a toy.

It certainly looks like a $10 game.

I almost picked this up for 20 bucks at gamestop since I had credit from MW3, but decided to hold out because I knew sooner or later it would be cheaper online. Glad I waited.

I wanted to like Alan Wake more, but it just didn't hold me. Story was really interesting, but the gameplay was repetitive to me. Hopefully this is more Silent Hill than Alan Wake.

I wouldn't pay $5 to play this game again.

Ah, the Giant Bomb Deadly Premonition Endurance Run. Actually, Giant Bomb did dual Endurance Runs of that game. Two teams played it from start to finish. I watched every episode of both. Those videos are the reason that I want to play it myself.
