Deal on Marvel Ultimate Alliance [PS3]?

shadou

CAGiversary!
I've been looking for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 for the PS3 in new condition, but it seems to be really hard to find and out of stock at all major retailers. My budget for this is under $20 (but really more like under $15). Is this game out of print by now?

I'm guessing the resell route is the the most likely place to find this game?

$15.09 Used with the coupon code hastings through go hastings this week. Shipping is 2.99. i too couldnt find it new other than the MikeBastards links.

Thanks for the links. I've been watching those auctions on ebay for the past few days.

I usually try to avoid Amazon 3rd parties because I'm never as sure about what I'm getting.

Basically I was hoping to find a new retail copy somewhere, but looks like I'll change my search to "like new" used copies. I'm not a big fan of buying used from GS or GC because the condition of the discs are hit and miss (usually playable, but scratched up).

For eBay auctions should I stay away from auctions that only provide a stock photo? There are quite a number of those, compared to ones with actual product photos.

I usually do. I try to find diamond in the rough auctions, by that I mean I like experienced sellers who have real pictures of whatever they are selling along with the price staying low. It's pretty hard for me to find all of those characteristics in one auction.

Not for some apparently, since the one copy of Uncharted I bought from a local shop used had a nick in the disc. Not just a normal scratch, but an actual piece of the disc that was MIA.

I would stay away from it. It's really not that fun of a game. It's a rental at best. The maker has already pulled the DLC from the store.

This game reminded me alot of the Dark Alliance and Champions Of Norrath games from last gen, in that it had the same view(3/4 above) and you took on enemies while traversing pretty narrow hallways.

You also collected powerups and 'gold' in this game, though I believe the gold in this game acts as experience points.

It's a fun game and well worth it if you can grab it for $10-15, but anything beyond $15 is really pushing it.

That's usually what I target too, as a stock photo usually raises a red flag for me. I mean at least take the time to post a decent photo of the item for sale. Anyways, I run across a lot of stock photos when searching for this game and a lot of super-high prices for copies as well.

I played X-Men Legends I and II for the GameCube with a friend of mine and we had a blast. So in looking for a good local multi-player game (that isn't a fighter or a shooter), I thought that I might be able to find this game for cheap. Besides LittleBigPlanet GOTY (which I find expensive for now), I don't see a lot of local multiplayer PS3 games that are good and fit my exclusions as stated above.

I agree with the price range, as $15 is my limit, although I'd push it to $20 if I absolutely had to. Unfortunately, it's rather tough to find a new or even "like new" version of this game for under $15. Even GoHastings sells a used version for $19 + tax/shipping.
