Just wanted to know if there are any good deals on any HDMI cables for the Xbox 360 or PS3? Preferably below $10... don't really feel that spending a butt-load of money on one:p

Everyone praises that site around here, as do I.
This.

I bought an el cheapo from ebay for 2 bucks that works fine. But Monoprice is where I usually go for cables. (my component cables for Wii and PS2 both came from there.)

shipping will probably be 2.50 or so, maybe 3 bucks.

Everything I have ordered from them has worked perfectly. And with HDMI, it's digital. So it either works, or it doesn't. All those super expensive cable do the exact same thing the cheapo ones do.

I had a relative tell me they spent like 70 bucks on an HDMI cable and I died a little inside.

When I went to buy a bluray from Best Buy about 2 weeks ago, guy in front of me bought an HDMI cable on sale for $59.99. I wanted to cry and I didn't even know the guy.

Thanks. I was about to buy an official Xbox 360 HDMI from Gamestop for $29... but then I realized I could probably get one super cheap.
Monoprice products are top notch and their prices are great but just be aware that their site might have been compromised last week. I had my card info stolen (as did a bunch of others) and $300 charged to it.

When I shop there again, I will definitely be using the paypal feature.
that sucks man

I try to use Paypal as often as possible, aside from Paypal only Amazon has my CC info.

Does anybody know if this one is any good?
My PS3's HDMI cable right now keeps going mute for some reason after a while and I always have to press the volume button again.

The only thing you might need on the 360 is the HDMI / Audio Adapter from MS. It's 30 bucks though, but if you want 5.1 you have to go that route, if stereo's fine then an hdmi + the standard cables on the 360 should probably work for you. the 360 has this weird thing were you can't plug in an HDMI & component at the same time, so I had to buy the MS branded HDMI/Audio Adapter.

Wow that sucks. That's one of the reason's I try to avoid using a credit card online is because I'm never sure whether it's completely safe. Instead if I have to buy something cheap I usually buy one of those debit gift card things.

Just buy a $7-$10 HDMI cable from Ebay, make sure it says 1.3 a or b
and you will be fine. If you have a 3D T.V. (lol) get a 1.4 cable.
A $7 1.3 HDMI cable will be fine for 99.99% of the population. The only
reason you need 1.3 is for PS3 blue-ray and advanced dolby sound or something,
Xbox 360 ANY HDMI cable is fine.

About Nameless One's post:
Yeah, I had to buy that sound cable adapter too, because the HDMI and regular
adapter don't fit together. I did read somewhere on the internet about how you can
take your regular cable, break it open (take off the case) making it smaller and
usable for sound, but it is not worth the hassle, just buy the sound cable, it also
does digital spif optical sound which hooks up nice to my computer's X-Fi sound
card, but you still only get stereo :

You can also crack the gray plastic casing from the outside of the standard cables that come packed in with the Xbox. Doing so allows both an optical cable and an HDMI to be run with out having to buy that extra dongle from Microsoft. I had to do this since my audio receiver is a couple of years old and does not have an HDMI pass-through. Cracked the case with a butter knife and wrapped the whole thing with plenty of electrical tape to be safe. Works like a charm. Some people even chop off the unused cable to reduce clutter.

If you don't need the optical port, Fry's always has HDMI cables for under $5 if you happen to have one locally. The thing with an HDMI cable is, they are all the same with the exception of MS's optical port on their version, they either work or they don't, so people who buy those Monster HDMI cables are the biggest fools EVER.
If you're still looking for one, try this.
He's sold a lot and doesn't look like there's any problems with them from his feedback.
I just ordered from here and they shipped it after less than 24 hours... i'll get back. 2.88 for a 6ft 1.3b, can't beat that!

Monoprice has "high speed" hdmi cables. Theyre only like 1-2 $ more. No clue how different the quality it, but supposedly regular hdmi is 1080i, high speed is 1080p.

Not sure if thats true or not, but for 2$ extra what the hell.
