I know that MS points can be purchased at insane discounts, but are there any (legitimate) places where I can get Wii points on the cheap? I'm really wanting to play FFIV: The After Years, but I don't like the idea of paying $35+ for the chance.
 
Do you have a Microsoft 1600 point code/card that you would be interested in trading for a retail 2000 Wii point card? If so, let me know. I've got a 2000 point card.
 
If you want to get points on the cheap. And if you don’t mind entering a bunch of codes on your computer. Pepsi is running a promotion right now that gives you free Rock Band downloadable tracks on red or yellow caps marked with a RB instrument icon. You buy 17-20 oz. or 1 liter bottles (I have seen these at $1 at the super market- plus tax of course). Enter the codes on the Rock Band web site and play for a chance to win a song. They are giving away 5,000 tracks a day so your chances of getting a free songs are pretty good. So far I am 15/15!! When redeeming you song, choose the Wii version, choose any song (it doesn’t matter what song you choose) and you will get a code via email for 200 Wii points!
And you get the drink as a bonus :)
You need a Yahoo acount to log in though, but if you already have yahoo email, you’re all set.
 
Interesting... I was getting these codes for 360, but instead of giving you points, you actually chose a song and they would send you a code for that specific song. On the Wii, you're getting 200 points straight up?

Very coool.
 
Yeah this has to be the best deal right now. Local mini mart has the 20oz bottles for 99 cents so its like getting 2000 points for $10 + tax.
 
I have 2 Wii points cards I'm looking to get rid of. How about $16 each? If you look at my trading feedback you'll see my rep here is solid.

I know this is highly YMMV, but a couple weeks ago I found three 2000 points cards for $10 each at the local Wal-Mart. They were in the clearance section in electronics.

Again, high YMMV, just something you might want to check for the next time you are in WM.
