Deals on Xbox Live and MS Points

What are some good deals on those two. I see $40 for 13 months at CC. But I'm more worried about the points. Also, assuming there aren't any good deals going on, is it any better to just buy them through Xbox Live?

Sorry this this has been asked hundreds of times, but my search isn't working at all? Is it like that for everyone?

I've bought MS points at Best Buy using the GGC on a number of occasions, 15 for 1600 points isn't too bad.

if u dont mind giving out ur cc info, u can do that true.com trial thingy and get the points for free. i hear that blockbuster is doing a similar promo.
