And when I decide to pull the trigger, I can't login to my account. re-set pwd, go through checkout, it asks me to login again (?) and it won't take my pwd. dick around with it awhile, wait awhile, try again with IE insted of firefox, and am able to login but they are out of stock!

Unless you want Kinect, get the Gears of War 3 bundle! Freaken awesome custom design console with 2 controllers, largest hard drive at 320GB and Gears of War 3 game.

You can play the games two ways: focusing just on surviving or focusing on score.
If you focus on score you have to figure out how to work the scoring system to your advantage. In this game there's quick/weak shots and there's powerful/slow shots. Each enemy type gives you more points if you kill them with a specific type of shot. You find yourself constantly having to juggle between your two options while dodging bullets. It's almost like there's a light puzzle element added to a shooter where you can't just be mindless blowing everything up if you want a higher score. Think Ikaruga except that everything can kill you.
Besides that the game has some extremely impressive (but low resolution) sprite work.
