Deceptive Auctions

I was looking on ebay one day and came upon one of this guy's (gamecrazy78)auction. Being the smart ebay shopper I read through his description and saw that he's pretty much trying to rip off "not so smart" people i.e. ones who don't read the description carefully. He claims to sell wholesale lot, includes a photo of his "inventory stock", but is actually just selling a few old bargain titles and demo discs (lists all the demos to beef up the description).

I took a look at his history and it looks like he's gotten away with it a few times. Some have complained but since it's mutually withdrawn, he has no negative feedback.

Kind of feel bad for the people who are suckered in. Is he breaking any rules?

Take a look at this auction of his:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110044408528

How can someone leave him positive feedback?

Wow someone payed $152 plus shipping for games which would be worth 10-15max. plus a load of demos. It's sad that the seller is doing that and all, but really, but people need to learn to fucking read.

Here's what the lucky winner will receive:

Power Drome
Gran Turismo 3 A- Spec
NFL 2K3
Max Payne
NCAA College Football 2K3
Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3
Madden 2004
NCAA Football 2003
And a load of demos...

So the guy bought some games that retail under $5, then post them on ebay w/ demos(and from the sounds of it, it's a couple of jampacks). Just wait the buyer will argue with the guy due to the photo. Might as well keep the link in the OP, since I've got a feeling this guy will be getting negative feedback soon.

What a sleeze. My heart goes out to the goofs who don't read the carefully worded auction and bid a bundle for lot with a max value of $30.

You could report his listings for being deceptive. eBay will take a look and may or may not take it down. Thing is the picture is deceptive but the title and text of the listing aren't. There isn't really a true category to report something like that under that I can find.

That seller is scum.

EDIT: Sweet, hope you get some action out of them brian.

I tried to report it, but they can't do anything unless you're bidding on one of the items and I'm not touching this guy's crap. Stupid ebay, oh well.

I asked him if I was reading things correctly; that despite the pictures, his lots are about 8 video games plus a few free vendor demos thrown in.

His response was classic:
yep. looks like you can read.Pat yourself on your back

heh it's deceptive but I don't think ebay will do anything about it. It doesn't even explicitly list the amount of games in the lot he's selling which is the first thing you would assume you'd read in a auction such as that.
