I have ordered from Deep Discount DVD and loved their service so I gave their sister site, Deep Discount CD a try. Well, they are awful... really.
I ordered a CD on 8/26/06. It then said the order was backordered and would ship on 9/5/06 only after I placed the order. Oh, well... only a few days I thought, I will just wait for the CD. I was then billed on 9/12/06 despite the fact the CD never shipped and it says on their website, "Your credit card will not be charged for any Pre-order or Backorder until the item ships."
I was then refunded the money to my credit card on 9/14/06.
I then emailed the company on 9/19/06 asking them about my order and they offered no help, they just recited my original order, so I told them to cancel the order. I was then billed again on 9/25/06 for the same order and I still have yet to receive anything.
Not only did they yank me around with shipping information and billing me and refunding me, they also did not abide by their own policy of not charging for backorders until the item ships. Also, since the month ago when I placed my original order, they have since shown the CD in stock and dropped the price! WTF!
It now has been exactly one month and I still have no CD and was billed again for the original price. I am calling my credit card company tomorrow and I also contacted the BBB but I doubt anything will happen.
