Def Jam: Fight For NY (Xbox) $20

the first one was awesome......i love it its just like the old 64 games.... anyone wanna donate their coupon to me if their not gonna use it??

Is it still up in the air if the Xbox version will support Live?

EDIT: I just registered a game at the EA site, hoping to score said newsletter with code, but no luck. :?

damn shipping boosts it to 27 for me but still great deal...i hope they do indeed include live play because if they dont id have to go with ps2 version...you can cancel these preorders right?? they dont charge you right away??

Seems like a price mistake....all 3 are 49.99 preorder on EB and Gamestop.coms They MAY decide to cancel the orders if that's the case once they correct it. Maybe not though. I think I'll pass on this for now.

I have a code I can give up...if possible I'd like to trade it for the trade 3 get 1 4.99 Gamerush coupon in the current EGM/Gamepro's....for some reason they are not in copies distributed in NYC. But if no one responds soon saying they have the Gamerush coupon I'll just post my code...

I guess we'll find out if you get charged right away. My thinking is that they'll charge when the game ships. Gonna be a long three months.
Does the code work on preorders? I just got my code and I plan on ordering it for Xbox.
Yes it does. I pre-ordered Madden 2005 and NCAA Football 2005 for $40 each w/ last month's codes.

Thanks, I'm going to order soon, but too bad it isn't coming in a while.

Alright ... I'm starting to develop "cheap game fever" -- you know, where you start to obsess over a certain game at a certain price? Anyone want to donate one of those EA gift codes? I'll trade ... uh ... *rummages through stack of crap games* ... Enclave? Twisted Metal: Black? Anyone? Bueller?

I don't have GameRush, and I haven't seen the coupon, but before you make any deals, make sure that the GR coupon doesn't state anything about being valid only at participating locations. If it does, and the NY stores are not participating (which could explain why the NY EGM/Gamepro does not have the coupon), then it could be useless to you.

just a suggestion...if "w/ coupon" or "after coupon" fits in the title of the thread, can everyone include it in the title instead of getting every1s hopes up...its kinda misleading

The local store didn't have a clue about it but they said that if it's a gamerush coupon with valid dates they will honor it. That's not to say that when I go there someone else may say no, but that's the best I can do. It's not really a "deal" for me to swap one coupon that cost me nothing for another :)

Is that the version of Twisted Metal that is online? I have a coupon and I'll take even crap games for it.

no kidding........i got excited for minute.....damnit!
so..........too bad i dont have a coupon code "hint, hint"........j/k
i have the first one on GC (went thru lots of crap to get it on GC instead of ps2 - which i couldve gotten for 10$ used...but i paid 20$ new for the GC ver cause i had no patience).....cool game though - the next one is supposed to be more of a fighting game w/ the same mechanics as opposed to in a wrestling ring. if you loved the ones on N64, then youll certainly like this one.....(its probably a good idea if u dont HATE rap/hip hop - u might not be able to get around it - some people say that is thier sole reason for hating it - which i think is rediculous - ive hated many of games soundtracks etc. and found them still quite enjoyable)........and DONT THROW AWAY any coupons - there are several people here that want 'em - i know im far on the list so im not holding my breath - but i had to mention it again!!
"trade in any combination of 3 playstation 2, xbox, gamecube, or gameboy advance and get one (1) previously owned game for $4.99 plus tax. purchase must be made in the same transaction as trade in. subject to trading terms and conditions. coupn valid at participating stores while supplies last."
there's more, but it's the other legal stuff that isn't important.

if you want, i'll mail you the coupon if you PM me the EA $15 coupon code. just include you address in the PM.

From IGN:

" . . . after discussing the product with EA representatives earlier this morning, it was revealed to us here at IGN that Fight for NY no longer supports online play.
No official reason for the exclusion was made, but EA did confirm that the removal is an across the board prohibition for both the Xbox and PlayStation 2 versions with the possibility of no support for downloadable goodies, Xbox Live awareness, or score rankings either. Bummer."

I guess that settles that.

Oh, and no, sadly, that's the non-online version of Twisted Metal:Black. I totally missed out on that offer, too.

Yeah that sucks... I still might get it though. It would basically be almost half price for XB then. The first one was good but lacked in alot of areas. I wonder if I can exchange it when it comes out if the reviews are bad.

I just pre-order it. the 1st one was pretty cool, & I'm sure Best buy & circuit city will have them at least for 40.00 when it come's out. so for 20.00 + shipping, you can't beat that with a bat.
