Dell laptop replacement battery?

Hey PC cags,

I don't usually post over in this forum, but I thought a CAG might have a good suggestion. My dad has had a Dell Inspiron laptop E1505 for about 18 months. The battery it came with now only holds it's charge for about 30-35 minutes. Reading on dell.com, this is pretty common for this model. Is there a good non-Dell battery that will work that anyone is aware of? Replacements from dell run about $130 and are known to fail within 12-18 months. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

eBay ones are relatively cheap.

Look into undervolting and not letting the battery get hot, as well as just taking the battery out when there are long periods when the battery won't be used (drop the charge to 40% and throw it in the fridge if its going to be a really long while).
