Depends really on your tastes.
I have played neither, but if you dig basketball and don't have a lot of friends to play locally I'm sure there are tons online.
The same can be said for Destiny though, too. I would personally prefer it more, but I enjoy shooters etc, and it's customizable so you have a lot of options for your player.
I wouldn't say Destiny is repetitive, as it is probably the most played online game aside from COD or WOW at the moment. If you don't have a lot of online friends to play alongside and form a team I don't feel it would he boring. If anything you just won't be able to complete certain tasks by yourself. Pretty sure you could meet other players looking to form a team fairly easy online though.
Either way you can't go wrong. It's more of a matter of taste. Ask yourself would you enjoy playing basketball online etc with others or a shooter/RPG type experience with others?
