If you read the comments to thank the community for the help and support so they are giving free full copies permanently on Desura for just 24 hours, they posted their message at 8:56 am Yesterday, but I"m unsure of what time zone so it is still free but idk for how much longer but it just worked as of 10:15PM EST, SO GO GO GO! Enjoy and have happy new year everyone!

EDIT: All gone but looks like two more games are still free thanks to publikdefender's post Towers and Init are free so have at folks. Edited the title to reflect the change.
Hey monkeyz,
I found two other Desura games that are currently free. I don't know how long this will last.

Init (reg $4.99)

Thanks. The Desura thing is updating now. However, is this a service like origin or gog or steam in which I can re-download the game later? It didn't give me an option to create an account as part of Desura or Dawn of Fantasy.

As far as I am aware if you download the client (Desura) to use it you must create an account (after it updates it should ask you to log in), it is similar to gog more than origin, all titles are DRM free, so you make an account and you click the FREE icon on the page instead of the .exe with the 2,307.91mb, and after you click free a pop up should ask you to install or play using the desura client, after this and it loads in the desura client using a link (similar to steam) it adds it then permanently to your account.I hope that was not too confusing, but if you have an account and click on the free, then click the install using desura, and you are logged in you get to keep the game permanently for free. I hope this helps man! Enjoy!

Thanks, just a heads up people. I didn't want to unstall the 2+ gigs, so I uninstalled it, that pops up a window with 2 options already selected "delete Desura files" and "delete from my account", don't be too quick with that mouse click, and make sure you have that last box unchecked.

Thanks OP.

Thanks a lot. After installing the Desura client, the client did update and then take me to a login screen within the client that allowed me to create an account. Thanks again, monkeyz, for bringing this game to our attention.

You are so very welcome! Just to let everyone know this still looks alive it cannot go for much longer I would imagine so if you haven't already pick it up. :D

Hey everyone just wanted to let you all know you are very welcome. I'm glad I could help you all find this but I wanted to let everyone know according to the most recent comments of the developer they are extending the giveaway for another 24 hours as of roughly 3 hours ago, so there is still time to get it, but Im thinking this will be ending tomorrow afternoon for sure, so last chance folks have at! And again have a happy new year to all!

Hey guys one final update, I checked and they still have it as a free giveaway and according to the dev's latest comment it will be good till midnight EST tomorrow night and then it will go back to whatever price they have set, so hurry up and grab it for the low, low price of free! Enjoy folks and have a happy new year!
Is there a way to add free games to my account without actually downloading them. I would swear I have done this before but now I can't see how.
Just start and cancel the download. Simple.

Even for free, Init doesn't look all that interesting. I grabbed The Tower though.

Thanks.

So simple even a Caveman can do it. Not simple enough for Palinn & I though.

Thanks for pointing out what should have been obvious.
