So I was playing Titan Quest today and I had really forgot how much I love that game. So the question came up in my mind, which do people like more Titan Quest or Diablo 2? For me, it is Titan Quest all the way. I never played Diablo 2 when it came out, I only played it after Titan Quest and because a friend insisted that I do so. However I was supremely dissapointed in it.

So Diablo 2 or Titan Quest?

I'm going to have to go with D2. I played through the demo of Titan Quest and don't get me wrong, it's a pretty good game, but it basically cloned D2 (which is not necessarily a bad thing). I played D2 long before TQ so that may be why. I just have fond memories of it and never got as into TQ (demo didn't make me wanna buy it) so D2 all the way.

Perhaps I'll pick up TQ on black friday if I'm lucky.

Titan Quest is great. I kinda like Diablo's darker atmosphere better, I think TQ's combat controls a bit better...but they're both awesome, I can't decide.

TQ's online is garbage. When I played it was laggy and people dropped all the time. The problems for TQ's online stem from its piss poor coding. Diablos issues were from the sheer number of users trying to play at once. TQ doesn't have dedicated servers.

Sacred had a fair number of issues, but I'd still call it better than TQ.

[quote name='UConnBBall']TQ is amazing and no server issues like D2 had at launch.

I love Titan Quest, it's a really great game. But nothing can replace the hundreds of hours I played Diablo II and loved every single minute of it.

*prays for Diablo III*

Titan Quest could have done it if they had better networks and a "closed" section of servers, but they don't. Both games are great, but D2 is still king.

Titan Quest is sooooo boring. Very, very drab design. Props, monsters, etc, all very generic and boring. I played for about 8 hours and quit of boredom.

Diablo 2 can become a grind at times, but remains interesting and dynamic. Skills are much more rewarding to use (the *feel* more powerful). I've played hundreds of hours and still enjoy it.

Uh, yeah.. this is a no brainer.

Diablo II was an instant classic and probably still has a pretty big online community. Being free and all helps, but don't let that fool you.

Uh What are you talking about? Last time I checked Titan Quest and D2 both cost money.

The servers.

Sorry, should have mentioned that.
