Did any of you get the Bond steelbook BDs from BB?

I got all six movies, price matched to CC's ad, total is $21.99 x 6 ($132 w/o taxes). I used my reward card too and six free movie tickets to Quantum of Solace!

Well, the beauty is the steelbook packing... All six of them, beautiful!

I'm no Bond fan and honestly, i don't even dig the old Bond movies... Well, with BD, maybe it's time to watch them again (i watched the Connery Bond movies when i was a kid, don't understand a lot of stuffs). However, the newer ones? Yeah, the ones with impossible stunts, very cool to watch.
is the movie cash inside of the blu-rays? or do you get it at the counter
Its behind the sticker. Don't throw the plastic wrapper away, because there's the code behind that sticker. Peel it off slowly and enter the code at online then print it.

Thanks a lot, missed out on movie cash a couple of times bc I didn't know you had to get it at the counter since I'm used to it being attached to the outside or inside the movie

I did the exact same thing. I haven't had time to watch any of them yet but the steelbooks look great.

Hi All, not a Bond fan, but several have reported that their BB price matched Fry's at the $16.99 Frys had. Good Luck!

I got my BB to Price Match Frys. and They let me use Magnolia coupons. Got 3 for $22.

Went back today and they wouldn't PM frys. So I got the remaining 3 for $45 with the Magnolia Coupons.

Thanks for mentioning this Serpentor - went to the nearby BB during lunch today and was surprised that they still had all 6 of them (since it's 2 days later, and the BB is on 44th st in NY, which is a high traffic area). However, I think I picked up the last of the "For Your Eyes Only".

Not a steelbook collector, although now it just means I have to hope BB has the rest of Bond in blu-ray steelbooks in the future... :/

Anybody look at the picture quality on the older flicks? The back of the packaging looked terribad. I would like to know before jumping on some of the older ones.

OK I got a 4th Steelbook for $7. Now I need to return the sealed one.
Going to try for the last two, to do CAG proud.

They look about as good as they can. And they look better that Die Another Day in my opinion.

The Fry's ad was only good for Tuesday, not sure if their $16.99 prices are still in effect but there is no ad to PM. (and yeah I had NO problem PMing Fry's with the Steelbook edition which shocked me, I fully expected to be told the steelbooks were exclusive so it wasn't the same thing)

I can't imagine a BB allowing a Fry's PM *and* the Magnolia coupon (not doubting that it happened to individuals but you're VERY lucky)... the Magnolia coupon is pretty clear it's only on the "normal" price, not sale price, and they should never PM and allow a coupon... so it's YMMV on that one.

The older movies look fantastic. With proper restoration, older films can look amazing in HD.

here's some pictures i just took, standard steelbook and yes USA

Wow, PM with Fry's ad for $16.99? Damn... Well, that won't fly in NYC, there's no Fry around here, so most likely they gonna say NO.

The girl was not even happy with CC's $21.99 ad (i told her i will go there and buy it from CC if she refuse the PM). I also kinda shooting for the $5 for buying two, but the girl told me they can't do "package" deal PMs.

Anyhow, the steelbooks are nice, especially the same kind of movie... I know i said that already, but just want to brag again :)
any pics and is this in the usa
Here are mine:

$14.99 EACH!

Got all of mine as well. I wish i had known about the CC pricing when i bought them but i was in a hurry and was heading out of town.

Just went over to CC and got them for $21.99 x 2 - $5 for buying two on the same receipt, so payed $18 each.

Great movies and look clean on blu ray.

I didn't know CC had the steelbook version.

thankz for the pics i wish i was not working everyday and this bestbuy and CC and FRYS

meh, im content with my volume 1 and volume 2 blus i picked up off of ebay for 90 after cash back. IMO the steelbooks look fugly... than again my dvd shelf is already quite full.

Looks good but I hate the idea of owning a few movies in steelbook and not knowing when I will be able to complete it

Wish I had the money right now to waste on these right now. Just got done watching From Russia with Love (rented it from Netflix), and it looked fantastic.

Have you scene pics of the packaging. It's the worst Fox has done yet. Nasty cardboard and cheap paper book looking thing. Pics in spoiler tags.

If I didn't have the Steelbooks I would probably want slipcovers instead of the boxes. And I love box sets.
Wen u price match you have to take the ad to CS right?
Nah, that's a waste of time... Just bring the ad and do it when you're checking out. The cashiers know about PM, they probably gonna ask a head cashier for approval or something (a green light, not some codes to override the register).

Anyhow, good luck getting the $5 for buying two (CC ad), so that's additional $15.

As for the dude scored all SIX for $90, congrats! That's super sweet :) However, it only worth it if you can get those Magnolia coupons w/o spending 5-15 minutes for it... Time is money, duh...

$90 after Cash Back? and not even Steelbook? Dude, no deal... Meaning that you spent about $130 for both volumes right NOW and leaving you with about $40 short for disposable income for 90 something days. Well, still not a bad deal of course in terms of the discs.

As for room? Hell, do what i do, sell the ones you don't want anymore or pack them away and display the new collections :)

Thanks, It was a great deal for me.

As for the Magnolia coupons, 12 coupons handed to me (without any demo) I just asked about it and as for the 6 bonds for $90 they were all done in a single transaction (as long as you got each bluray with its $10 off coupon).

I decided not to for a couple of reasons:

1) I got the regular ones for 16.99/ea at Frys online + $7 S/H but no tax, BB is 24.99/ea + tax and would not pricematch since no Frys in area. Best they would do is 21.99/ea + tax.

2) If I ever damage one of the steelbooks down the road, it will be near-impossible to get a matching replacement since BB is the only one with these and it is likely a limited run.

3) New bond movie isn't in steelbook and hence don't match the set

4) The whole set of MGM bond movies isn't out and there is no guarantee the next six will be in steelbook

5) You don't play the case, you play the disc :)
was only 11.99 + tax for me

they let me use the magnolia coupons for each one + price match
They only gave me one and I used my Magnolia coupon on Rob Zombie's Halloween, I didnt want to drive around and get more demos nor did I want to print out multiple copies of them off the internet. I thought the demo promo was a cool idea so I did it legit in hopes that future deals like this would arise.

my best buy just had the coupons laying out in the magnolia section, didn't even have to watch anything

grabbed a bunch of them, should of took them all

lol...i wish.

went to teh mira mesa (for all you san diegans out there) and tehy were stingy as hell with them! I even used to work there, talked to some contacts, couldn't get them away from the guy. went with my gf and he offered us only 1. i told him we don't live together, and he just shrugged. i told him to find me a manager, and he gave me another one to shut me up.

but in teh end, and after multiple trips, managed to snag all 6 for 90 ^^

i'm a bond-a-holic, so this is great! ^^

Holy smack! that's super... $12 for a steelbook BD? Damn, got right to brag! If you do that again, you probably get the set for free by selling the 2nd set, lol.

True, but hey, it's steelbook, i consider i'm lucky already that BB PM'd CC's price... Technically, it's not even the same item...

True... that's why the current steelbook run is a must get! Worry about down the road later :)
3) New bond movie isn't in steelbook and hence don't match the set
Ah, who cares, at least the six i have right now are :) It's hard to be a perfectionist you know ;)
4) The whole set of MGM bond movies isn't out and there is no guarantee the next six will be in steelbook

Yeap, but don't care, cause i got the current six in steelbook, lol. However, fingers are crossed for the next batch (maybe CC exclusive and we PM BB's prices, lol).
5) You don't play the case, you play the disc :)
Ayi ayi captain, agree agree, but still, look is everything, that's why Victoria Secret is men's best friend too.

I considered getting the steelbooks but I noticed they weren't doing one for the new Casino Royale, so I figured why bother? They've already screwed up the complete set right from the start. So I decided it was best to just get them at Frys for $17 each and enjoy the picture quality.

Roger Moore's cardigan in FYEO has never looked better! Or worse, I forget which.

I'm a huge Bond fan and these steelbook releases do look cool but I'm waiting for the whole series to be released. Until then, my old DVD's will do just fine.

Mira Mesa Bestbuy is not that strict when it comes to coupons or discount. I got a lot of great sale deals there.

And from what you mentioned, looks like the negativity is limited to one incident in obtaining "2" coupons

What about the other "4" coupons (Whats the the story from the multiple trips as you mentioned you got all six for $90.00
i figured i would just use the extra tickets to see other movies

get bond tickets and walk into something else
Not ONE theater near me accepts this e-movie cash stuff, so I'll be ebaying the codes and using that cash to see QOS, and pocket any remaining profts.

Is the QoS movie cash inside the case on these and the normal editions? I know this isn't really the topic to ask, but I didn't wanna start a thread. Anyway, I got a couple of Bond movies and the free ticket info sticker wouldn't tear off. If that isn't the actual ticket cool, but if it is I'll need to return them.
