Did anyone feel let down...

When you play Marvel Ultimate Alliance? Maybe it was playing X-men legends 1 and 2 that did it in for me. During my run with it i just had a huge feeling of been there and done that. I ended up trading it and a couple of old xbox games for a copy of gears of war... best trade i think i have ever made. Anyway what was your take on M:UA?:puke:

I never played the Legends games but I still found it pretty boring. I only rented it though.

Yeah legends was pretty cool, but marvel was mediocre at best. I was dissapointed to find out that Blade was the sorriest character in the game.

I just started it last night, but it's fun for me so far. I'm not expecting a ton out of it (played X-men Legends 1), but the gameplay is repetitive and fun. Then again, I couldn't get enough of Diablo I and II, so I guess I love hacking things up.

Blade ranks right up there in the damage output, how do you mean he's the sorriest?

I actually had more fun with UA than I did with Legends - had a lot more fun with the multiplayer in UA than I did with Legends.

I loved it and I didn't care much for X-men Legends ( and flat out hated part 2).

I gotta say though, Activision really needs to ditch the engine when they make a sequel.

I thought the game was great. I had played the Legends games, and thought they were only ok. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed UA.

Ummm, no.

I *HATED* the original X-Men Legends. IMO the gameplay was spastic and terrible, and it didn't help that it looks horrible too (and nothing like the actual characters). I like the Snowblind engine games, but just plain hated Legends.

The 360/PS3 Marvel UA LOOKS really good at least, but I'm still leary as to whether or not I'd like the gameplay. I just bought X-Men Legends II for the PSP for $10. If I like it, I guess I'll pick up Mavel UA too.

Nope.

I knew more or less this game would be very similar to X-Men Legends, which I enjoyed. I do like the fact that they did away with having to use potions to heal characters though.
Can you do co op online in this game?
As Logg mentioned, I also do believe it is up to 3 other people (obviously). You join up on the host's save file, wherever they are in the game.

I'd have to agree with the him. Even though Blade was able to do lots of damage...he really wasn't that fun to use. His specials were mediocre, and they didn't look very cool. I really loved using Ghost Rider, Iceman, and Dead Pool.

I also agree with the OP. My friend and I LOVED Legends 2, but when we played through Marvel, I had that same exact feeling of "Been there, done that."
