...Rockband Special Edition PS3, Burnout Paradise PS3, and Tiger Woods 08 Wii, all brand new sealed.

God I love L.A.

I don't want to get my 'source' in trouble since I'm not sure s/he can go around reselling games with her/his employee discount, and I definitely want to utilize this newfound source in the future, thus I will use "s/he". In fact they even said to just hit them up if I ever want anything in the future. You bet your ass I will do so.

So I posted on craigslist in collectibles and the toys/games sections that I have a bunch of NES and SNES games for sale (my extra copies I've built up from yard sales and craigslist over the years, mostly loose carts, average cost to me probably around $2 or so a cart, since I bought a lot of collections in bulk).

One of the persons who contacted me about my games works for EA, and wanted to see if I'd be interested in trading for EA games (s/he says s/he also has hookups for Ubisoft and Capcom, and another company I forgot) since s/he gets them for such good prices.

I told her/him, sure, gave her/him a list off of EA.com (Rockband Special edition PS3 which s/he said they get for around one hundred-ish with their discount, Burnout Paradise PS3, and Tiger Woods 2K8 Wii (around half off for most games is their discount)), and we arranged to meet up. I told her/him I'm also interested in the Orange Box for PS3 and Mass Effect, maybe also the Medal of Honor games, but for now those three would be more than enough to work out a deal.

Here is what s/he selected from my collection. I kept offering for her/him to take more, but this was all they wanted. 15 NES games, 4 of which were complete with boxes and instructions, 1 Super Nintendo game with box, and 1 Sega Genesis cart only:

Super Mario Bros. with box and instructions
Legend of Zelda with box and instructions (gold cart)
Commando with box and instructions
T&C Surf with box and instructions
SNES Street Fighter 2 Turbo with box

and 12 cart only games:

Zelda 2 (gold cart)
Castlevania 2
Ninja Gaiden
Guardian Legend
Little Nemo Dreammaster
Double Dragon
Double Dragon 2
Jackal
Life Force
Tecmo Super Bowl
Tecmo NBA Basketball
Genesis Shining in the Darkness

Nice catch, man. I wish I had something to brag about(unless you count knowing someone who knows someone who is famous and goes to celebrity parties...)

Congrats on the deal. ^__^

EA employees buy games at a discount price. My cousin has a friend that was a graphic designer for EA (he quit because he wasn't happy with the company or something), but was able to buy several copies of Battlefield 2 at release for 15 dollars. So, yes, I'm jealous you have a connection to EA. I think I might have a new connection into EA, but I'll have to see how that goes. *crosses fingers for Burnout*

I'm a bit disappointed with the included song selection on Rock Band. Pretty "meh".

But I think new bundles get released every week via Sony Store or PSN or whatever, have to check, hopefully they're not too pricy or better yet free.

Haven't even gotten to Burnout yet. Wife was PISSED when she saw the drums and guitar all set up in the corner of the entertainment room. She'll learn to like it, though. Gotta get her to try it out.

Eh, Rock Band's not really grabbing my interest right now, so I'd say no (especially since some of the games you named are gems). However, if emulators replace owning the physical nostalgia of yester-year to you, then you just traded beads for LA.
