difference between pokemon games

i was wondering what the difference was between pokemon ruby saphire and emerald...... i played the original pokemon red blue and yellow and i remember the only differences between the 3 were a few different types of pokemon and yellow was more like a revised version of blue and red with little tweeks here and there.... so is this same difference between ruby saphire and emerald?

yes. emerald is a remake of ruby/sapphire that added some features like wireless gba support (which leafgreen/firered introduced).

Emerald also has the Battle Frontier which is an added bonus. Check a site like serebeii.net for all of the differences.

Emerald actually also has both team aqua and team magma in it. Sapphire only had Aqua and Ruby had magma. Emerald is the way to go.
