Direct2Drive FPS Sales Bulletstorm $12, Crysis 2 $30, Fear 3 $30, Borderlands GOTY
Damn good deal on Bulletstorm, I might have to bite. Thanks OP
I want it so bad. I played the console version and loved it I know I'd love the PC version more. But I wish it were on Steam at this price.

I wouldn't support the Bulletstorm devs when one of them said this when users complained that the ini's were encrypted and they couldn't change settings not in the limited options:

"Possibly we should separate .ini files: some encrypted, some (visuals, mouse, etc.) open to rape. Oops I mean edit."

I just played the Bulletstorm demo. That was a lot of fun! Anyone know if the full version has difficulty selections? I am just now getting into FPS type games (I'm almost 30 hours into Borderlands), so I fear getting destroyed too early on before I'm ready for higher difficulties. If there isn't a difficulty selection, how is the general difficulty ramping and is the demo indicative of the starting challenge of the game?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

Oh, and unless you need it on Steam, Borderlands GOTY is an incredibly good game. I absolutely love the blending of FPS action with light RPG. The comparisons to the blend of chocolate (FPS) and peanut butter (Diablo-style looting, missions) is not far off in the least.

Arg... Bulletstorm is so tempting. Been hoping for a $20 or lower copy of Bulletstorm for 360 sometime, since it definitely seems like a play and trade out sort of game. I'm sure the co-op is at least a mildy entertaining distraction once I was done with the Singleplayer.

Is it easy to set up a private match to play with friends on PC version? I'm assuming it's GFWL.

Yep, it's GFWL. I got the prompt when I first started the demo.

I was wondering if it's possible to sell games you have purchased? I bought a copy of Crysis Maximum Edition on Steam and now have a second copy on D2D. I assume the games you register with GFWL inputting the code you can't?

Procrastination and being cheap pays!
I held out on Bulletstorm from Impulse last weekend for $15. I rather doubt it will be much cheaper for the rest of the year. Steam might hit somewhere around the $10-$12 mark if they ever offer a deal on it, but I'm not gonna wait. Also going to grab Section 8, been wanting to give that a shot for a while.
have anyone played Section 8 prejudice? worth 6 bucks?
no doubt!! I got it as it was DoTW for GFWL PC last week or so and well worth the price. For $6? no brainer, still has an active community and all plus support & dlc. What's the cheapest Bulletstorm has been? I've held out long enough, wondering if it's worth the $12 now. Thankfully it's on GFWL too

i bought it for $10 during summer. Good game but I am having problems locating servers full of people. Its mostly bots.

lol I am quite the steam nerd :p
I thought bulletstorm was made for console gamers. How does it work on pc?
Here's a control list for the PC version of the game:

http://forums.techarena.in/video-games/1395544.htm
 • Moving Frontward, left, backward, right – W, A, S, D
 • Fire – Left Mouse Button
 • Target – Right Mouse Button
 • Run/Slide – Space bar
 • Kick – E
 • Reload – R
 • Swap Weapon – V or may be mouse wheel
 • Leash – Q
 • Charge Shot – C
 • Crouch – Left Control button
 • Skillshot Database – N

I'm no FPS wiz but I found it a bit challenging to get really fancy with the kills using these controls in the demo. I may just need practice. Definitely try the demo out to see how you do. For what it's worth, I had a good time with the demo, but I'm going to wait for a Steam sale (and finish Borderlands GOTY before I buy another FPS-based game :D).

I think it works pretty well. I'm about halfway through the campaign and I have gotten used to it enough that I score pretty well. That said, if you can't get used to it, it does support a gamepad from what I know. For 12 bucks it is a steal and the visuals are outstanding if you have a good pc. This game is beautiful maxed out.
does bullet store activate on orgin
Nope, but you can talk to ea live support and ask them to add it for you, different people have different results from there though.

It should. I can't say 100% but I'm pretty sure any EA key after 2009 activates on Origin. If it was from before that the answer is no. I've bought a few games outside of Origin(including on Steam) and they all activated just fine.

Edit: looked into this a little further and it seems some keys do activate and some keys don't. For 12 bucks I don't think its a deal breaker but to each his own. Weird though cause I bought Dragon Age and BC2 from other places and they activated fine. Might just be this game.

Can you redeem the Section 8 code on the Games for Windows Marketplace? I know you can't on Steam, but like certain keys can be activated on steam, could this work there? I have already bought a few games on there and it would be nice to add it to my collection, although maybe just wait till Steam has it on sale.

it didn't for me - but what was weird was that when I went to live chat and i finally got through after waiting for over 40 minutes. It was like a 5 minute process and it magically appeared under my games list.

I didn't even give the guy my cd key.
