Guide ships from Doublejump on August 22. So this way you could get the 650 page monster a week early.

Still haven't gotten mine. I could have driven to the NISA offices at this point and picked it up myself, from Texas. :ziplip:

Gotta love when anger and irritation, takes that slow descent into acceptance and disappointment.

Fresh form the forums at doublejump:

Apparantly there's been some snafu at OnFulfillment and there are still orders than haven't been shipped.

Can somebody take a picture of their Disgaea artbook? I just want to make sure I have the artbook because it's not the same thing as the one on eBay.

Mine is reddish-orange and it didn't come sealed.

double jump can kiss my ass. a monkey could send out packages with tracking info . double jump will never get another penny from me

first they said NIS sent it now they are saying another company packaged and shipped these items so they can not tell when they will come. If they are not here by the weekend I just put RETURN TO SENDER and dispute the charge. I dont give a rats ass if the package ever gets back to the right place

about the artbook...we don't get the white covered one, thats in japanese only and has like a $30-40 retail value...we should be getting a paperback one thats like 30 pages...

For those ordered from Double Jump. I have revieved my order, it actually was shipped by UPS Ground, not "Other"... and on the shipping label, there is tracking!!! The bastards at NIS/DJ were just too freaken lazy to inform us.

I'm pleased that my package arrived on time, and also that it is packaged very well, but the way we were left completely in the dark while waiting for the shippment is not appreciated.

To be honest, I like the bigger bradly guides much more than the cheap ass DJ guides... only my opinion...

Good luck to all those still stuck in the darkness...

Just got a shipping confirmation email this morning and the package arrived via usps priority mail in the afternoon from nisamerica. I guess nisameria is a little behind in sending out delivery information. Either that or usps is faster than the speed of light (yea......like that is going to happen).

Yea!
I'm happy now.

Didn't read the thread to see if this has already been posted, but here's a picture of the complete set. Sorry about the low quality. I took the pic with my cell phone.

From left to right: Manga, CD, art book, strategy guide, and game.

I ordered the cheapest package ($49.99) and it came with the CD. How is it?
I ordered the cheapest package ($49.99) and it came with the CD. How is it?
I think the CD was a standard bonus even if you ordered the game by itself.

The CD is a 2-disc set, right? I take that the jewel case is one of those with a flip tray.

The CD is a "Best of" single CD soundtrack. The Japanese limited edition version had a 2-disc version. I don't see why they couldn't just spring for the extra CD, but hey it's free.

The 'best of' CD we're getting has 20 songs i believe, so not too bad.
still dont have mine... One more day till i dispute and write return to sender
Dispute what, exactly? The game has been shipped, it just wasn't shipped Priority Mail or UPS Second Day air, so it's going to take some time to get to its destination.

Are you that impatient that you're going to return a game and some truly limited collectibles? That seems pretty stupid.

Well mine didn't fucking come in today. I'm not gonna do any of that dispute crap, but god fucking dammit this is pissing me off. I could have driven there, picked it up personally, and been halfway back now.

I just emailed Doublejump again with a WTF.

It's beginning to look like I reserved this great 3-day weekend for nothing. I think I'll spend my time hacking DJ's site instead. :)

Oh the woes of ordering online.

Edit:

To hell with it - I'm going to Gamestop to buy the game an reselling my DJ set (minus the guide) whenever the hell it comes. This will be Disgaea weekend dammit.

I got my package last night. Unfortunately I went out drinking after work and I was blitzed when I came home so all I could manage to do was open it up. And tonight I have my fantasy draft, so I wont be playing tonight either.

But heres my quick notes on the package ( I ordered from NIS)

- Box was small, and packed tight, no padding but nothing was damaged. The more fragile stuff like the sountrack case and game case were in the middle, with the books surrounding them on the top and bottom.

- Soundtrack front/back artwork looked a little cheap to me. I didnt open it so I dont know if theres screenart on the disc.

- Manga looked cool, it was bigger than I thought it was gonna be

- Artbook was really thin, but had high quality thick stock paper. It was 95% in Japanese

- Game was the game, nothing special with the packaging or anything

- The Strat guide is HYOOGE! Its the small form factor like the Phantom Brave guide, but damn is it thick! Also , I dunno if this is suppossed to be this way, but I was flipping thru it and some of the pages were upside down. There was a big section in the middle like that. I dunno if that was a spoiler section, or a misprint or what, I was drunk while checking this all out.

I think thats it. I cant wait to dive into it this weekend! =D

Yea, I'm pissed too, but if I remember right Doublejump shipped USPS, so who the fuck knows what kind of service they used. Priority Mail would have been nice but I'm thinking they probably went Media Mail.

Also the fact that Doublejump orders shipped after NIS orders... but still, there is really nothing to "dispute", they shipped us the game and goodies, it's on its way, they just picked the slowest possible shipping without tracking (but USPS dosen't even have tracking, just DC that never shows up anyways, so the point is moot).

At least now we know at this point it's coming, eventually, and I'll wait the extra week or so to get an exclusive soundtrack and very limited artbook which will probably go way up in value.

i thought everyone here knew im stupid : )

i thought people were saying the post office delivered these? I came home to find the UPS man walking away from my house after dropping off the game.

Most of the extras I will either trade off here or put up on ebay. I ordered the Manga (or whatever its called) By mistake and have no use in it. Same with the Walk though guide . I probally even dump off the artbook (not as nice as i thought it would been)

i usually dispute when i return stuff cause most companies say allow up to 90 days to get credit. Its not a real dispute but it puts the funds off from being charged interest

If you want to sell the Manga, I might be interested in buying it, but keep in mind it's going to be like $10 when it comes out in bookstores in a few weeks ;)

Throw me a fair price and I'll probably take it off your hands.

By the way, you ordered through Doublejump and it came UPS, or through NIS?

I have ordered from nisamerica 6 times or so and they have always use priority mail (assuming you choose usps as the shipping method).

Bitch and ye shall receive. Mine just arrived via UPS. So doublejump has no idea what way they were shipped. I was told mine was shipped Tuesday 29th with USPS, but it wasn't so if anyone else got word theirs shipped tuesday or later it may be coming UPS.

Just watched the trailer for the anime included with the game and omfg is Etna's voice an atrocity. I am offended, this game just called me nigger.

I guess I should still hold out hope then that it could come today. What really sucks is that UPS has amazing tracking, DJ should have given me the damn #.

The upside down pages is the spoiler/secrets section.
God I am so fucking excited for this game to come out. I still haven't finished the first one though. My plan is to:
1) Finish the 1st one's main story
2) Finish the 2nd one's main story
3) Do the 1st one's crazy post game stuff
4) Do the 2nd one's crazy post game stuff.
That'll only take me what, 20 years?:D

20 years at least! lol My save for the first game is 120-something hours and my characters are only level one hundred and something. I beat the main quest twice, and barely scratched the surface of all the other after game stuff.

that is why i probally try to dump the walkthough guide and the manga together. paid around 9 i think for it. i ordered though doublejump.

Unfortunately, still didn't come today.

According to UPS, my package is going to take roughly 9-10 days to arrive...:applause:

:bomb:

bah my package is MIA...UPS said delivered...but my doorman doesn't sseem to have it...

Also how do people play 120 hours and only get that far..

I got to like level 4000 with 12000 levels stored on Laharl...maxed out a yoshi and SRS....that was like 130 hours...I finished secret bosses and all the endings as well....

If you didn't receive it today, I think it's safe to assume if you ordered through Doublejump you won't get it until Tuesday at the earliest (no UPS on Sat & Sun, Mon is a holiday).

My order from NIS arrived today--just in time for the long weekend! Hm, I wasn't planning on tackling this game just yet, but who knows...

UPS really dosen't deliver on Saturday's? I could have sworn they did.

Damn it, fuck you to hell Doublejump... I guess I'll just play Saints Row this labor day weekend when I wanted to really get into Disgaea 2 since college is closed.
UPS really dosen't deliver on Saturday's? I could have sworn they did.
You gotta pay a whole lot more for Saturday UPS delivery - and somehow I doubt Doublejump did that.

If you're not into all the extra crap - just do like me and go buy the game so you can play it this weekend. Then sell off the extra game and fluff for a profit when it comes in.

I'm keeping the guide, but the rest is heading to eBay.

I might go buy the game tommorrow at Best Buy, Gamestop, EB, someplace, and when my Doublejump order comes in just return the sealed copy in there back to the store I bought it from.

The only reason I ordered this special package is for the fluff ;)
