Sorry to break it to you guys, but Atlus publishes and distributes all of NISA's games. Consider those games Atlus games with different translators.

Boy, this is tempting. I think I'll hold off until I hear how it went for some other people, though.

When I was attempting to check out (didn't actually buy it), it wouldn't let me change from Canadian $ to US $. There was no option to choose other than Canadian $, like there should have been.

Really? its under the big "buy" button

it says Change currencies. Then you have to hit that check box then click which country.

but anyways, I'd wait because its "on order" instead of "in-stock" now. :(

Hmm just talked with live chat... here's a gist of it:

Me: Is the item that I ordered still available to me?
Me: When I ordered on saturday, it said "in stock, shipping in 1-5 days"
DVDBoxoffice: It is very hard to come by.
Me: but now it is "on order"
DVDBoxoffice: We hope to see some more copies soon.
DVDBoxoffice: 1-5 is an estimate.
DVDBoxoffice: It will take us more than 5 days to complete your order.
DVDBoxoffice: This title is very hard to come by right now. I am sure you know this.

And you can cancel your order through live chat but they are only open on a certain time (just saying, and they don't charge till they ship). So I'm basically letting it sit for a week or two, and if it doesn't work, cancel.

I heard a lot of cases with dvdboxoffice couple years ago in which OOP items were eventually not filled although their website indicated otherwise.

NIS America has established a presence here and therefore no longer needs Atlus to distribute their own games.

If anything, GameQuestDirect has to be hard at work securing the rights for a Disgaea reprint as we speak... it only makes sense.

Well, I got a response from them. I don't have the e-mail on me, I deleted it quite awhile ago, but let's just say it didn't sound good.

Basically, I asked them if the game was truly in stock when I ordered it. When they wrote back, they were very vague about whether they actually had the game or not, saying stuff like, "Well, you know it's very hard to come by" and "Sometimes it's just an estimate".

I don't know. I'll probably keep my order there for a few more weeks, if it's not here by then I'll end up cancelling it.

Oh well, I'll let it sit till maybe friday, and if nothing occurs, I'll cancel.
 
As tempting as this is (and i was on the screen where you click to confirm payment...i decided to instead buy the Final Fantasy XII CE/LE instead :)
 
Eh, I figured I might as well buy this just in case the PSP version of Disgaea doesn't make it or if it ends up being filled with problems.

Hopefully this really is limited and not just a reprint. Cause it feels cooler that way.

Wow, this is a great find but I still can't bring myself to buy one, guess I'm a true cheapass. I think I'll never end up playing this game cause it's just too expensive.
 
Wow. You got yours shipped from dvdboxoffice? I thought the latest reprint was sold through Atlus shop exclusively.
