DJ Hero for $80?

So, a guy on craigslist is offering DJ Hero for 360 for $90. I was able to get him down to $80, but he will not go down any lower. He said he's used it for 5 minutes and can't get into it.

For people who've played the game through, is this a good deal, or should I let someone else take it?

Why not go to Wal-mart this weekend and get a new one for $120 and snag a $40 WM giftcard with it for effectively the same price. Then you don't have to worry about the condition of the item or anything.

I hate when people say getting $X amount giftcard is the same thing as getting the game for that price. If he's going to spend $40 at Wal-Mart already, sure, but it's definitely not the same as only paying $80.

That said, OP, I'd pass. If I recall right, the Guitar Hero Store was just selling it for around $80 new with a coupon code; you can do better.

It's a fun game but not $80 fun. I'd wait till it inevitably drops in price in a month or two.

I also hate this EXCEPT in the case of Walmart because you can truely buy anything from them including necessities like groceries and even gas at some of the bigger ones. Of course, if you only have $80 to spend then it's not such a great deal.

It's like when people are up $300 at the casino and then lose it all. You didn't break even - you just lost $300 of your own money dumbass.

I agree - a better deal will come along - I'm betting these are on clearance immediately after Christmas.

The game will be easily had for $60 new within a few months; you can bet the farm on it.

Activision has seemingly inadvertently set the stage for a grand race to the bottom of the bargain bin between DJ Hero and Tony Hawk Ride, perhaps in an attempt to determine which of the two brands is more over-exposed, over-done, and played-out.

I think DJ Hero is well worth the price of $80, but I'm the minority. It's definitely a fresh spin on the "Hero" series.
If you can wait, then wait. If you are like me and the wait was driving you wild, jump on it.

When people say that they OBVIOUSLY figure you have a reason to shop there in the first place. Why would anyone just buy something at a store just because they are going to get a giftcard? If you don't think you'd have a future use for the giftcard then don't buy it.

I'm sure a lot of people do that; don't get raged because you fail to realize "free" giftcard /= actual discount.

It's worth it if you absolutely can't wait but the price is going to drop quick so I'd wait it out. Or you could see if a gamestop near you has it used in which case you could get it for $60 or $54 after edge which is definitely worth it.
