DJ Hero Wii Used $59.99 at GS

Dang might try to find one around here. I'm wondering how people already get used one though because gamestop has a policy to withhold the traded in stuff for 10 or 14 days. Some kind of prevention against stolen goods.

That is not a national policy, that is only in certain areas where it's required by local ordinance/law. Around here (Michigan), I see used copies for new releases within a couple days of release all the time.

I've purchased a few games likes this on or within a couple days of release date. Its annoying because the gamestop employees will always tell me theres no way its in stock...I still end up finding one. I haven't done it in a while since amazon owns my life now but I do remember getting Soul Calibur IV on release day

PA can turn around and sell within the same day, but here in DE, it's a 17 day holding policy.

I'd buy a second one for that price. The game is absolutely worth that much and I paid around 80 for mine with credit and it's so freaking cool.

Would someone be kind enough to pick up a PS3 bundle for me and ship it to me? I'll pay cost + shipping and some extra if you really want it (Yeah I don't have much money right now, so I'm kinda broke)

This is the price for any version of the game used at Gamestop. Of course the real deal is finding a used one, since it's only trading in for 40 bucks.

It's definitely worth $60 for the 360/PS3 version IMO.

I was lucky enough to find one for the PS3, and it was pretty much brand new. Looked like someone opened it, played it once and didnt like it and traded it in.

Yup. Confirmed to be for the PS3/360/Wii versions. Go figure, GS gives you 1/3 of the price you paid the day after the game is released. Good luck finding it anyone.

Called all the Game Stops in my area, none had one used. Not surprised though, who trades in a $120+tax game for $40???
I just checked all of my GS in a 25 mile radius and none of them have it used.
how did you check this? by calling?
how did you check this? by calling?
Yah, you can call any GS and ask them to check their inventory and any other store.

I'm shocked that they're actually selling the bundle AS a bundle and not breaking it up and selling just the game for $55 used and the peripheral by itself for another $20 or more.

Cheapest way to ship one of these bundles would probably be Priority Mail Flat Rate box for $11-12 plus DC, for those thinking of helping one another out. My area is pretty good about getting in used copies of relatively new games soon after release, so I'll keep my eye out for used copies of this, though I'm pretty broke myself so I could only do one deal at a time.

Called 3 local stores, none of them had it. I wish they'd at least pretend to check on the computer though, they just say no immediately lol

If they're selling this for half of the new price, just think about how low the trade-in value must be. Anyone who's traded it in already took a huge hit to the wallet.

I think that's because you can't get the turntable accessory on its own, and it's a safe assumption that anyone buying the game won't already have a turntable from a previous purchase. If you sell the disc by itself, who's ever going to buy it?

GameStop doesn't always do the douchebag move, especially if there's no profit for them in it.

For this one game, I think they'd know if they had it in stock. The turntable and oversized box are kind of a giveaway.

Heh, that's a pretty funny deal.

There's very little chance that DJ Hero will catch on, in my opinion, so I'm planning on holding out for a serious clearance at about $40 new for the PS3/Wii. It'll happen eventually...

xD

I'd say they took a $0 hit to the wallet because anybody trading in a $120 game for $40 in credit most certainly stole it. I fully believe in the stupidity of man, but losing 66% of your value only a week or two after the game came out is just not likely for even the dumbest among us to agree to.

If you spot a PS3 version that is in good condition please consider picking it up and ship to me. Can't find any around here.

This sounds just like the 360 copy I got yesterday. Mine still had the little foam pad that goes on the turntable as well as the $5 off GHWT coupon.

I'm in OC-California and the rep told me the closest Wii version was in Utah and the closest PS3 verion was in Arizona. This should be accurate as of Sunday since this same rep told where to find my copy.

Thanks OP and good hunting everyone else.

Confirmed that it seems to be a national price. I just missed a 360 copy by an hour but it was in their system for $59.99 as well.

I think you're correct in your assumption. Also, there seems that some had been put together pretty "shotty" and pieces are already getting stuck, loose or coming off altogether.

Unless you get the Renegade edition, the crossfader will pretty much break within a month.

Saw a guy buy this the other night when I was browsing there. Couldn't believe the price! Now to keep my eyes out for it ...

Hey ryosnk. I tried sending you a PM, but it said your inbox was full.

I was wondering if you'd be willing to trade that PS3 copy of DJ Hero for a copy on the 360. Mine has the box and everything. If you do want to trade, I'll pay for shipping on both of our ends.

Just PM me know if you want to.
