DMC 3 gets a 9.6 from IGN

I just read the review before coming here... Capcom is pulling one hell of a one-two cross platform punch. This may be worth a trip to Blockbuster.

Now, out to go drink to my liver's content.
I still gotta beat the first one
Yes, as do I. I'm not far at all (third mission) but I didn't get it until about a week ago. I'm really behind, I know. #-o

I decided to not to pick up DMC2 unless I could get it for a really low price ($5 or so), but I think I'll pick this one up once it hits $20.

I finished the first one...it was really fun. The second one is pretty mediocre.

Good news that they got the series back on track.

I think I'm most excited about the fact the Dante gets a Guitar for a weapon. I enjoyed the first two, can't wait to play this. For those weary about DMC2, its not as bad as people say. Its a lot easier and shorter than the first, but doesn't mean its not fun.

I finished the first one which is still one of my favorite games on PS2. I then beat it again on Hard mode and on Dante Must Die mode which I must say were not easy at all. The second was alright, but overall was just mediocre. Great to hear that this one is as good as I thought it would. I can't wait to pick this one up when it is about $30, yes I know very unCAG like. :p

Already went there today to preorder it in full :D.
Mortal Kombat: Deception Kollectors - $30
Roadkill - $8

I just got GT4 and Tekken 5 in the last couple of days. I'm going to be drawing the line right here for now. I wanted DMC3 right at its launch, but I got two games that will keep me busy for a long time, so I will wait for the inevitable price drop.

I still have dmc 1 and 2 (bought 2 years ago) and haven't beat it yet. I just stop playing dmc 1 because I don't know how to kill that spiders boss in the beginning so I quit and start playing something else. I don't expect to buy DMC3 until I beat 1 and 2.

you jump out of the way of his fire spit, and then attack his head.

I am on like mission 10 (the one with the different pathways) in the first one.

Devil May Cry was the reason I bought my PS2. DMC2 I won't even let in my house, since it disgraced the series. DMC 3 is shaping up to be a must have, once it drops to $20 or less.

I will DEFINITELY pick this up at launch now!

But does anyone else agree with me that it should have been titled "Devil May Cry 0" instead, seeing how its a prequel to the first game?

I just think its odd to have it be number 3, b/c the next installment (which there probably will be someday) will most likely take place after 2......crazy Capcom!

But yeah, I really wanted to stick with my idea that "I won't buy a SINGLE game during these last few weeks of the quarter" but I've already picked up StarFox Assault and Tekken 5.......D'OH!

Hey, same reason I got my PS2. I did get DMC2, though I only paid 5 bucks for it. I'm gonna wait for DMC3 to get to GH status, then snag a used copy that isn't greatest hits packaging. I do that for most games that will probably be greatest hits some day.

I thought the first one was really overrated. It was a game that I REALLY wanted to like, but it ended up being more of a chore to play than anything. I got the 2nd one for $10 from CompUSA, but I doubt I'll be playing it any time soon.

im really debating whether to pick this up at launch or not. the reviews are pretty good, but i have a feeling it may be too difficult for the non-hardcore. i got Ninja Gaiden on release, but havent gotten past chapter 6 because of the difficulty. its been sitting on my shelf for almost a year. i think this may have the same fate.

I am getting it on launch in a few days.

On the Topic of DMC 2...it was fun to a certain extent, but had many problems, such as Dante basically being a mute in it (seriously he barely said anything). I got it on launch, and dont neccesarily regret it, I was just dissapointed.

DMC 3 looks really cool from the gameplay movies of it. Being able to switch guns and devil arms on the fly is going to make the game really cool with combos and such..

im sure capcom learned from DMC 2...Glad they got their act back together for this franchise. :p

Yeah, i dont know how they turned DMC into such a mediocre sequel in the second iteration. The combo system, the general fighting, the stages, the bosses. ALL took a nice blow. But 3 is looking fantastic. :p
