Do People Still Play Any of the Older Call of Duties?

CAGiversary!
Yeah, I was just wondering, namely 2 but 3 as well. I know there are a ton of people on World at War (missed out on the deals for this one when I was at school) and Modern Warfare. I loved every level on 2, and the multiplayer on 3 was actually great. I was very skilled at both, but I kind of want to go back and finish up those crazy Live achievements for 3.

This is a good question...I was thinking about picking up COD 2 GOTY the other day...maybe we can get some Cag love for a cheap ass game!

People still play 1 & 2 on the PC. As for the 360. I've seen a few people on 3, but I never stick around anyway. With most games the number of players drops consistently from release leaving a higher concentration of hard-core players. I think CoD4 is the only exception to that so far.
Do people play the first game a lot on PC? Was tempted to install it again and play the campaign once more.
I usually see about two-dozen servers with a good number of people in them. There are more playing UO though. I normally just play to see if any servers are running my maps.
Rite I'm playin COD 2 GOTY Edition. Veteran is still a bitch:headache:
Yeah, it is. I managed to get through both the Russian and British levels on Veteran, but I was never able to beat the first level of the American side: D-Day. I can make it up, but I can never make it past the onslaught once you get up. I know you have to do something like drop a ton of smoke, but then they still kill my ass, and I don't know how/where the checkpoint is just to make it past that part. I should probably try to pick it up just to see if I can get the last few achievements.

Yeah, I know some die hards on CoD3 on 360 (Live), but I wasn't too sure if there still were enough to really play. I'll have to give it a try and pick up a cheap copy of 1 & 2 for PC somewhere.
2 is empty on 360 but it's still fairly popular on PC. Don't know about 3 for either.
2 had some great maps on 360. I really should pick it up for PC. Anyone know where to find a cheap copy of it for PC?
I have a single player campaign stalled on CoD3, Xbox. I need to get back to it.
I got stalled on CoD3 when playing Veteran because of a stupid glitch on a ridiculously hard level. That, and I never finished the two online achievements because they put the numbers needed to attain those ridiculously high. 20,000 and 40,000 points are insane.

By the way, you guys should add me on Xbox Live. I'll play you if I see you.

For me it was that Russian level where you are inside and they swarm the building. Took forever but I finally got past it by hiding in a closet like a little bitch and shooting anybody that came in after me. Beat the game on veteran after that, wasn't really hard, just grind from checkpoint to checkpoint. COD3 is a different story on Veteran, I'm stuck in that fucking furnace room. You have to haul ass across a big open space and then go up stairs while simultaneously shooting Nazis. Can't get past that.

A game night for older CODs would be cool. Especially the underappreciated COD3. That had a cool online mode.

Howdy.

I bought COD2 last year. I'm willing to try out the online portion.

What did you do to get past D-Day on Veteran on the American Side?
