do u think the full version of the HOME will come out before 2010

Id like a version of Home that supports public voice chat. What's the point of social interaction they claim if I can't chat with people. I find myself people watching on Home because of this. Girls trying to take guys from other girls, and guys flocking around them. I like xbox live so much better.
Id like it before Christmas though.

Well considering it was only announced two and a half years ago, I think Sony will delay it for a few more years before we get it. Maybe early 2012. :/

I'm at the point where I just done care any more.

Over all I am very disappointed with it. I can just not see what the appeal of it is. If you're going to knock-off 'Second Life' at least you can do is make it better.

What would you consider the full version to be. This is basically the full version. It's like Google mail. It will always be in beta.

This app/game/social space has so much work needed to be done yet... It's almost embaressing to call it a beta IMO

Yea, I really cant see this being anything beyond what it is, a mild distraction/experiment. I see with the new XMB updated they are trying to integrate the stuff, but truthfully I got the beta months ago and logged in the first night and havent gone back since. Its just not that engaging. Its unique, but unless you have a reason to use it, its not worth caring about. Although I thought the same thing about the wii and its library of games, and we all know how well cooking mama 12 is selling compared to anything on xbox or ps3.

It's really pretty sad, there was a lot of people talking about Home until it went live. Now it almost seems to be ignored by most except maybe when a new title
has a new gamespace to go along with it... Where you can stare at the outline of those around and download all of the spaces again for the 12th time...

People actually use HOME? seems like just one more way SONY has dreamed up a way to make Money Off Of People through the use an old concept.
What exactly is HOME ? - 'A Place where like minded people can hang out and socialize" hmmm? (Sound anything like a 'Chat Room' to you?) I know its probably a blasphemy to say but .. Isn't Home Just a Poor excuse for a Second Life Clone? C'mon isn't there a better use of time, skills, and funds.

People are always selling their home preorder content for a nice profit on ebay. I doubt we'll see a full release, they'll just keep tweaking and adding spaces. But some people really do care about it, just not me.
I thought it was going to be a perpetual beta, the way I hear Gmail is.
GMail is out of beta and I thought I read somewhere that soe Sony exec said Home will never come out of beta?

Found it:

http://dlb-network.com/2008/12/sonys-home-to-remain-in-beta-indefinitely/

Jack Buser, director of the free social gaming service PS Home states that the Playstation 3’s game will remain in beta “indefinitely.”

Funny how people will spend real money on make-believe things... I can remember when your imagination and creativity was FREE!!
(It's just one more way Corporations are sucking the money out people's pockets) {conspiracy theorist's might go so far to say that since Sony is "a Japanese" corporation it's just getting the those gullible Americans where it hurts, the wallet as a bit of payback}:whistle2:$

The only thing that could make home appealing to me is if they ditch the "realistic" aesthetic and go for a more fun fluid cartoony look. Also, the ability to attach the avatar to your profile and be able to customize it away from being a human character (I want a bear dammit). They also need to make home seamless (zero loading). Example: You'd see your Home apartment in the background of your XMB instead of having a dynamic theme. Which allows you to just jump right in whenever and allow friends to jump into your Home just as easily (with of course the promised Trophy room).

In order for it to be the hub where all your actions take place, it needs to be 100% seamless. Like an interactive party system, that would be amazing. For example, have all the CAG Killzone clan members meet up in the clan leaders apartment and while waiting for everyone to come online, play some pool or arcade games.

BUT, it will never happen so I vote - DON'T CARE.

Yes, a thousand times yes! I'll install Home in an instant.

May I suggest Sackpeople instead of "real" people?

I agree... with you... its HAS to be seamless. How about having some Home trophies, where you can earn about 5 per month... for doing things, such as game launching from within home, visiting the new game spaces, playing the mini games... etc. I know home is not what we wish it could have been, but people are using it... there's plenty of people there using it. So can't say its a complete failure.
Funny how people will spend real money on make-believe things...
Oh, you mean like video games? I think you wandered into the wrong forums...

Haha. Yea, what isn't "make-believe"? It makes you question life. So the only time you spend money is when you have that physical sense of touching something? Is that what life is about, fulfilling your one sense of touch? Every other sense is "make-believe" it is up to your brain to decide how to interpret them.

Anyways @ Home. While a lot of people ARE vocal about hating Home. It is weird to find that there are a friggen ton of people that play it (like Thomas said). Don't believe me? Try to play any Arcade Game... bah.

I know its not just me... but during my last couple of visits to HOME I saw a LOT of people dressed up in items that you have to pay for. Romis brought up a good point reference people buying the "make believe items." I'm not going to lie I wandered why the hell those people I saw in home spent their money on that mess... and after being in HOME for about 30 minutes... I found out why...

fuckIN' PEER PRESSURE, My Home version of myself, felt under dressed, my character (I) looked like a mess with my pacman shirt and ugly ass pants - I went and sat in the movie theater and watched an anime episode... which was good, and left HOME - luckily without buying anything... but I know one day that Pressure's going to make me cave.... its gonna make me cave!!!!!!!

Haha, I have no problem buying virtual clothes in Home. I would if the avatars were actually appealing and if the clothes were cheap. Not like friggen 5 bucks to buy the Mass Effect armor on 360. And XBL doesnt even have a social area...

How are the clothes in Home priced?
