Do you go to college?

I would imagine that there is a large number of college graduates that visit these message boards. I graduated in 1995 (was on the good ole 5 year plan - worked full time while going to school full time)

UGA-Athens, Class of '95
Go Dawgs! although that would be more fitting if I ever went to a football game. I did enjoy the women's volleyball, however.

I finished my BA in Cinema and Photography at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale last August. I'm trying to leverage that degree into a job as a game/level designer. Anyone else looking to break into the industry?

Yes, and I'm just about to get my associate at Campbell University. It's on base, so I don't have to change over and can go in cammies. That's a plus...saves time.

D4rkewolfe are you a Jarhead? I'm former 3rd LAR out of 29 Palms. If not just ignore me.

I went to the University of Idaho for a while, but then I realized that I hate school and a college education doesn't open nearly as many doors as I had been led to believe, so I decided to quit and try things my way.

I have been fairly successful so far. :)

Yeah, I guess it could be shocking on some university to see some guy come walking in camo...
of course, it takes me a while to realize that... I've lived near a military base near my entire life, so it's no big deal seeing men and women walking around in camo or even full dress uniform. Add to them the hunters and fishermen that are always out in camo in the winter, and I'm seeing people in camo all year long...

Got an Ivy League degree and came out dumber...go figure.

Working hard now and hardly working. Education's funny like that...it works for some and not others. I just feel that all my life I've had a quality unlearnable in any book or lecture hall.

Sometimes it's the intangibles, what many refer to as "social capital," that makes all the difference.

I am a motivator, dedicator, leatherneck, devil dog. I guess that answers your question. I'm actually attached to MCCSSS Camp Johnson also known as Montford Point. I'm the administration chief and budget clerk for the Financial Management School. Basically handle our budget (being a cheap ass helps too :D ) and help in the training of entry-level Marines.

i finished a semeter at mt san jacinto, but im leaving for great lakes[navy boot camp] this march so going to school this semester would have been a waste time...hmm now that i think of it..taking that semester at the community college was a waste too...took 3 classes that were easier than my hs classes..oh well..

I got my associate degree at a community college back home (Washington State Community College in Marietta, Ohio for anyone that's interested) and then transferred to a 4-year to work on a BA. I transferred to Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where I am currently enrolled. Only a quarter or two left and I'll be done. It's a little scary when I think about it [-o
