So this past Sunday I put in a good half day into Final Fantasy Tactics, I think it's my 5th time through or so. A couple of weeks ago I beat Shadow of the Colossus again, twice, all the way through. Before that I beat Final Fantasy VII for the umptenth time. Ninja Gaiden Black always seems to be in my 360. I'm also working on my 4th time through Lunar: SSS. With the Wii VC I've also recently beat Super Mario 64 and A Link to the Past recently too.
I've found that the vast majority of gaming that I do is in games that I've already beat. Sure other games get thrown in there when they come out. Yeah I played FFXII, I went through Okami, beat Twilight Princess, etc etc. But I always seem to go back to those handful of games and play them through again, I've beat them countless times, but I still do it.
So I'm wondering how many people out there are like me, that play games when they come out, but put most of their hours into games they've played before. So do you? And what games do you always find yourself playing?
I will say that I don't consider games like Wii Sports, Guitar Hero, DDR, Katamari, etc to be in this category as they are more pick up and play games. Games you can play for 10 minutes and put down. Going through a game like FFT is a 50 hour commitment, at least.
