Do you shave your head? Electric razor?

I do...some times. I would more, but I need to find a better method. I've only done it with a regular razor that I'd use to shave my face with (schick quattro). If you shave yours, do you use a regular razor, straight edge (or whatever) or an electric razor. I was told that the best and easiest way was with an electric razor, just don't use the same one on your face as well. Okay, so what's the best method? And if it's an electric razor, does anyone know of any good deals on them?

I use a combo of an electric razor and one of those shavers they shave your head with at Supercuts. Its a Wohl and they're usually $10 or so at Walmart.

But I don't shave it completely bareskin - I leave some stubble. If you want completely bald its best to use something like a Mach 3 with shaving cream.

I have been shaving my head with a Wahl electric for almost a year now on #3. I'm almost getting it down. #3 is about as short as I'll go, though. But it's saved me a year's worth of haircuts. On the downside, it's saved me a year of hot receptionists at my local Supercuts. Man, I forgot about them. Oh well. They're all too young for an ex-20-something like myself, anyway.

I shave my head bare daily and have found that the only way to go is a Mach 3 razor and Edge shave gel. I shudder to think of using an electric on my dome.

I use the double blade not mach 3 but the one under it, in the shower. I do about 3/4 of my head with it and if you do it in the shower, then it doesnt get all clogged up and you can squeak out like 7-10 head shavings with the same blade before it gets dull. Also if you do it in the shower then you dont need shaving cream : P im truly a cheapass hehe.
The more you keep up with it the less hassle it is. If you let it get long then you will burn through razors like crazy.

I only shave with Mach 3 Turbo, everything else fucks my shit up big time... razor burns, cuts, the whole nine. I'm talking about my face by the way.

i think it'd be a pain in the butt to shave your own head. That being said one of my friends shaves his head daily and uses a mach 3 he said when i've asked him b4. I pay people to cut my hair, i get a #1 fade every two weeks. It's just $10-13 a trip.

around these parts, thats 2 new games or 8 used games

I shave it with an electric razor like a barbor does and if I'm going for that shiny head look rather than the flat top kinda look then I break out my mach 3 and shave it all the way down. So yeah electric followed by mach 3. It's a two trick pony.

That cut only last like 2 days. Just get a #0 or a plain #1. The last time I paid someone to cut my hair was near Christmas when I went to AZ and didn't have time to cut my hair before I left, and it was only $6.

i have an electric razor hair cut kit thing that i bought at target for $10 or so. i've been using it for about a year now, and it works fine. the only thing that sucks about it is that the hair gets all over when you use it, but it's still better than paying someone to cut it. i don't know how well it works if you are looking to go completely bald, because i just use one of the attachments to make it very short, but not bald. i do it every couple months, though, so i imagine that if you actually kept the hair short consistently the whole process would be far easier.

i stopped going to the barber about 4 years ago. i used to just cut my hair myself with scissors, but it was kind of a pain, which is why i bought the shaver.

You know... reading this thread makes me want to go bald...

I shave mine, but not all the way down to the skin so I don't use a razor. I use clippers like they would use at a barber shop with no attachments. My experience has been that they all crap out at some point or another so I just get the cheapo ones and replace them whenever they stop working. I end up replacing them every couple years. I think the ones I get are about $10. They come with a bunch of attachments for different cuts or lengths but I never use that stuff.

The last time I did it I used an electric trimmer to get rid of the mass of hair and get it close, and then use a razor to make it smooth.
