More buttons= more customization.
It is all preference and now that I have a high grade mouse, I can never go back to anything less. But honestly, the Razer Nostromo has changed my gaming habits more so than a mouse. That thing is a game changer.
I have the first n52 and loved it. I don't know where it is right now and I really don't play PC games much anymore or even have a place to put it and keep it out. I have been tempted to buy the new one. I don't know other than the look and it lighting up if their is anything different.
The Razer Nostromo intimidates me haha. I don't really play MMO's anymore so I probably wouldn't need something like that.
I used it for COD back when 4 came out and I liked playing it more with that than mouse and keyboard.
I would totally get a Nostromo if they made a mechanical version. Otherwise it would feel like I'm disrespecting my Ducky Shining whenever I use it.
And as a high-sensitivity gamer (On PC at least), gaming mice make a pretty big difference IMO.
I would pick it up along with the one that is currently out if they did.
As for a gaming mouse I use the
Logitech MX 518 High Performance Optical Gaming Mouse. I wouldn't call it a gaming mouse. I think some software did come with it for gaming, but I can't remember. It does let you control the sensitivity of the mouse with the buttons above and below the scroll wheel. I really wouldn't call it a gaming mouse even though they advertise it as one.
I also noticed Logitech has a pad like the Nostromo.
Logitech G13 Programmable Gameboard. I may end up getting that at some point and giving it a try also.
