Do you think I should have to pay 1/3 of the bills for my parents considering the following

1. I get no say in the workings of the household
2. I get no say in my medical care (United Cerebral Palsy isn't exactly fun considering I DON'T HAVE CEREBRAL PALSY!)
3. I have to ask to leave the house. On top of that I get searched upon leaving the house, and coming home.
4. I get searched when my parents see something bulging out of my pockets.
5. Everything I do requires there approval
6. Everything I do requires there stupid ass comments and questions
7. My mom has a restriction on my bank account in which only she can get money out for me. On top of that, she steals money that I earn from a job, and also puts me in unwanted debt.

Considering those points, should I have to pay them rent?
 
This sounds like a sad life. For one thing, If your an adult how bout you move out of your parents house and get your own house or at least apartment? Another thing, If she is stealing money out of your own personal account I believe you can sue her for reperations on that. And third, I say no you shouldn't pay the rent, If there so fucked up I'd get out of that house as quick as you can.
 
wtf, how old are you? Regardless of age thats total bs, your parents are jackasses man. Unless you've gotten in trouble for drugs and shizzle they have no reason to search you. Why do you have to pay if ur mom takes ur damn money anyway?

yeah I forgot to metion getting the hell out. If you have cash and a job, just save up for an apartment or you'll stay in that shithole.
 
I did not have any say in who should be my Representative Payee. My mom basically forced me to let her do it. Second they won't let me move out unless it in in a United Cerebral Palsy apartment, which I checked out and they are disgusting. Plus the people there are pretty much retards, low functioning people. I am not retarded. I do not have Cerebral Palsy.
 
i thought i had it bad....just move out....the only reason im not moving out right now is because im trying to get rid of all of my bills b4 i move out...so i can have it nice and easy when im gone

I dont understand. You say you dont have Cerebral Palsy but you are only allowed in a Cerebral Palsy unit.

I feel like there is more to the story.....Please fill in the blanks.
 
I'd say he isn't old enough to move out if he has to ask this question. There also seem to be some trust issues in that house. You need to address those first.

After that, take a couple weeks off from your job but tell your parents you quit and that they forced you to do it. No job, no stealing your money, no paying rent. And if they kick you out, you'll be better off wherever you go. Especially since you still have a job. :D

I have never done any type of drug except for legal prescription meds prescribed to me. See the thing is that I have an eating disorder and they think that everytime I leave the house I am going out to eat.
 
what exactly is United Cerebral Palsy....and for what reason does this organization have apartments...and, how old are you....if you are 18, they have no legal say in what you do
 
Whats up with the Cerebral Palsy shit?...Do you have it or not?...How old are you?...If you are 18 they have no say to whether or not you can leave...You are an adult and are legaly able to do whatever the fuck you want (to an extent)...If you are not 18 even if you are...It is illegal for your mom to be taking money out of YOUR bank account without your say. Again...If you are 18 they have no legal right to search you...and if your talking a strip search and your under 18 then that is pedifeelia (sp?) Its illegal for them to do so many of those things...espicially if you are 18 and they do all of them against you will...actually even if you were under 18 it would still be illegal...Id say fuck YOU! to them and get the hell out of there...
 
About the Cerebral Palsy. UCP takes in people with any mental illness, but the majority of the people I see there are the drooling retarded wheelchair bound people which I have to walk past each time I go in there. It is extremely embarassing to do so.

MOVE OUT!...they have no legal say...eating disorder may be a mental illness...but not one that cant be cured by medication and therapy...If you are on those then you are fine...They cant stick you in a loony bin for eating...I have clinical depression and my mom will let me move out when Im 18 whether im on my pill or not...Your parents cant do this to you...its not legal...talk to a lawyer
 
Sorry about that all-too-obvious joke, but seriously man, it sounds like you need to get some sort of outside intervention on your household. There's a few explanations for what you are talking about:

1. There is something wrong with your parents, since they are not acting in a way that one would expect the parents of a 20-yr-old.
2. There's something wrong with you. This sounds like it is at least partially true, but really, none of us know all the facts about this, and you could very well be distorting them without knowing it.
3. Most likely, a combination of both the above.

Buffalo has some really good social service resources. I suggest you seek them out. Good luck to you man.

On the contrary amigo, 18 is the magic #. Once you turn 18 your parents can say "Get the fuck out" and you have to. However, it's against the law to kick out a minor, so that's good news for you.

In order to help you any further I'm going to need the answers to a few questions, in fact we all are:

A. What kind of job do you have?
B. How old are you?
C. Do you have a car?
D. What kind of education do you have?

I could probably provide you with a lot of suggestions if I knew your situation better, I was a refugee of home once, many years ago. Fortunately for me my mother and I have patched things up and since I've been living 2 and a half hours away in my own apartment, everything has been A-O-K.
 
Uhh...you tell them your moving out and that they cant do anything about it...they cant...they are making you live in fear...Thats why your still there...your scared of them...Thats the only thing I can see...Your 20...your parents steal...dont trust you...they question every move you make...your afriad that if you move out they wont love you...I think they are also guided by fear...fear you will develop the eating problem again...Just move out and show them you arent like that...

I work data entry. I am 20 years old. I don't drive (Personal Choice though). I have graduated High school with a regents diploma, and attended harkness career center (Vocational School) for Information Technology.

The funny thing is that my parents are such hypocrites. I searched there room while they weren't home and found interesting shit. I found marijuana, painkillers, sex toys, mental medication in my mom's name, and a picture of some naked black guy running in the grass, who he is I have no idea.

But let my parents catch me with marijuana, and they will take it on me, call the police and throw me in the psych ward at ECMC. Then they will go and smoke it on me. I was actually thinking of stealing the marijuana from them and selling it on them. What are they going to do? "Mike, have you seen our weed?"
 
Sounds like you may have to sever some ties with the parents. To be honest, I don't see how you'll ever develop a normal adult life under those conditions. Especially with all that United Palsy shit.

i dont want to sound like a jerk, but its apparnt that you have problems, your parents have problems, and you both have problems with each other. you all should go see a therapist, moving out is a short term solution to a long term problem.

Listen I used to go see a regular doctor, then my parents found this UCP, and had my medical care transferred over to them, because they were cheaper.
