Do you think the DS needs more sports games?

coolcolt

CAGiversary!
I love playing Madden on the go but do you think other sports games like NBA Live should be on the DS?

Definitely needs some good sports titles. I've only played Madden, but I've been scared off by stories of some of the others (especially the tennis games).

Well, if your into importing, seriously consider getting The Prince of Tennis DS, it is an amazing tennis game, and it is extremely import friendly. Heck, more than half of the writing in the game is in english

Plus, it's only ~$32 shipped at Play-Asia, you just can't go wrong.

Definatly need better sport games for ds,even though i'm not a big sport fan for video games, the mario sport series isn't that great on handheld(cough,cough...mario hoops)

FIFA 06 is pretty good. Madden 07 is ok.

I'm finding the DS versions come off as lazy. There's so much potential with the 2nd screen for sports.

I definately want more sports games! Simulation; not some arcade sports games. I don't even care if they are SNES or Genesis games. Sega could come out w/ a DS game w/ classic Genesis sports games on it. I did see a release list (I think on Gonintendo.com) showing that the Backyard series has baseball, football, and basketball all being released in the fall.

The only reason I'd consider a PSP is for sports games and maybe Daxter and Loco Roco.

i agree, but the ps2 has about 200 more sports games than the ds. the system doesnt need to be flooded but itd be nice to see nhl 2k7 on the system.

Thanks for that, I'll have to look into it...Either that or pick up a GBA tennis games.

There's the Harlem Globetrotters game that just came out. I haven't read anything about it. Anyone have it yet? I'm guessing it sucks.

They need to put Baseball Mogul on the DS. That would be awesome to have on the go.

With the stylus it would work, no stylus, not so much. So the DS is pretty much where it would have to be.

Perfect game for DS. I play Mogul on my work computer when bored.

I agree with this 100%. In fact, I think the DS is the perfect spot for sports games of this type(more text than graphics).
